Will Kontakt 8 / Komplete 15 be part of the Included Software of an S-Series MK3 Purchase?

For a while now I have been thinking about an s-series purchase and was wondering whether the new release of Kontakt 8 / Komplete 15 Select will be included instead of the now outdated versions.

    There are 3 new versions of K Select on the way - I would think they will eventually start to be included with the S-Series MKIII sometime after Sept 23 - but exactly when is unknown.

    I purchased the Mk3 the day before the 15 announcement and part of the sales pitch was Kontakt 7 was included - 24 hours later it's obsolete.

    Hoping they give recent purchases of the Mk3 consideration but not holding my breath

    I sent a ticket the other day, asking whether Kontakt 8 / Komplete 15 Select will be part of an MK3 Keyboard purchase and whether there will be a grace period. For example, when I bought the Push 3, it came with Ableton Live 11. Weeks after my purchase, Live 12 came out and I still got the upgrade for free. Im currently inquiring whether this will be the case with NI as well so maybe you're not completely out of luck. Ill post here again when I get a response to my ticket.

    same i purchased my s49 about a 3 weeks ago hopefully we get a free upgrade path

    Hi everyone,

    I just got my first reply. I was told they are currently looking into whether there will be a grace period made for purchases before the 23rd of September, and that they'll get back to me as soon as they receive more information.

    Ill update this thread again once I know more 👍

    Sorry guys, im not getting any more replies... To me it seems like a grace period currently doesn't exist. Best case scenario, they are thinking about it and maybe going to implement one but who knows.

    I will wait until Monday, September 23 and then buy my new NI S61 including the new release. Than I am save.

    I just looked at the homepage of NI as well as the one of my dealer. None has updated the NI S61 offer starting with today. Does that mean, when I would buy the board today I still receive the old software setup?

    I'm kind of having that kind of question as well. I saw this page then decided to wait until today, but it seems like nothing changed on their offcial website…

    I just noticed a change. If you on the s series information page and scroll down to included software (not the included software tab), you will find it now says komplete 15 select. However, everywhere else, including the checkout page, it still says 14... If anyone comes across any more clear information, please post.

    I saw that. And I just asked their agent, here's what I got, "Thank you for reaching out to Native Instruments.

    Kontakt 8  will not be included with S-Series MK3 purchases, but you will receive a Komplete 15 Select bundle: 

    S-Series MK3

    N.B.: Please note that this ticket may be automatically marked as "Solved". However, if your issue persists or if you have any additional questions, simply respond to this email within the next 10 days and we will happily assist you further."

    I think that basically means it's safe to buy mk3 now, but how can we get the select bundle? By asking them again after having the keyboard or we just automatically receive an email or something?
