After recent Effects update, loading them freeze FL Studio (FXF-2537)

Still broken, still no response from NI a month later. Classic NI. Although, on the Native Access app it signalled a fix/reinstall of Raum was necessary, and after reinstalling it it works and doesn't crash FL. However, almost all my other NI effects like Replika XT, Dirt, Freak and Bite cause immediate hang/crash. Guitar Rig 5 works ok.

Just to reiterate, I have managed to add Replika XT to a channel without the hang by locating it in the browser, and dragging it to the channel from there. If I add it directly from a slot in the channel, it hangs.

(update) Just remove either the VSTPlugins 64 Bit folder or VST3 from plugin search paths directories in FL plugin manager and everything should work fine.

I believe it is on FL Studio's side for sure actually. The issue does not accure in FL Studio 21 or 20 versions. It accures in FL Studio 24 versions only.

This is probably not correct, thisissue was discovered by most of us here before 2024 was released. I faced it on FL Studio 21, and it is still present in 2024.

Your different FL Studio versions may be loading different versions (VST2 vs VST3) of the plugin, check to see if older working versions are using VST2, which is what we have found to still function, vs VST3, which causes the hang.

But can you open old projects AND preserve your settings in the affected plugins? What you have suggested is fine for new projects, but if you open old projects with those plugins after doing this I found that any plugin has been reset to the default preset.

Hey all, circling back on this issue. The bug is filed under this reference: FXF-2537. Unfortunately, still no fix in view. So for anyone affected by this. We would recommend to use VST3 instead.

Workaround 1:

Turn on the combination of VST and VST3. This can be found under Options > Manage Plugins > Scan options.

Workaround 2: Downgrade, here are the installers for all previous versions:
