When will Reaktor7 come?

It is more like a dream than a guess.
The tiny handful of developers that actually wrote and designed this app left long ago.

The dream is where it all begins…..

True dat.
Expect this dream is at it's end.
At least with NI's current owners - who are more interested in things that simply do not relate to Reaktor.

I like the way these operating system are arranged. What are they going to do next, make an OS that won't run old software. Not likely, so the new thing is making hardware obsolete and start selling computers along with your new operating system. Hmm, Windows is selling their own brand of computers now and guess what, they're all compatible with Win 11. Reaktor will never just go away unless you make it go away. Go ahead, update everything, upgrade everything and see what you have left.

Some have left, some not… just like you would imagine with any mature software during it's lifetime.
Vadim seems to still be at NI, and he created core. I think there are others too. I guess they all work on other things alongside Reaktor, as you would expect.

Regardless of who is left and who is doing what - they all report to someone.
And that someone (as is very clear with the new Komplete 15 announcement today) has no interest in furthering the world of Reaktor.
Even the greats - eventually get benched.

erm… so now you accept that they didn't all leave long ago… or something else? I'm finding it difficult to keep up with your reasoning, because it keeps changing
Anyway, whatever, NI are still using and maintaining Reaktor, there are various 'powered by Reaktor' synths in Komplete 15 which is a good sign.
I'm still using it, so are others here. That's all good.

I am not in the HR department at NI and have no idea who is there or not there.
I am finding it difficult for you to accept that this old school app (just like all the others in K 15) are finished (outside of possible requisite maintenance fixes for a new OS release) - yet you (and select few others) keep on keeping on like a "new" version is right around the corner.
K15 (for me anyway) now totally solidifies that NI has completed it's transition towards being a sample content company and it's "synth based past" - is - well - the past.
That said - I fully support your enthusiasm. Just hope you can handle the disappointment.

And yet your comment "The tiny handful of developers that actually wrote and designed this app left long ago." would require that knowledge to be anything other than ******… nice

There is no suggestion from me that there will ever be a new 'version'. Maybe there will, maybe not. I wouldn't expect one within the next 5 years for sure, maybe not for another 10, maybe never. Except for occasional maintenance updates of course. The thing that has been said multiple times here, is that Reaktor works really well as is, so even if there was never another major update, it would still be just fine for years to come. If that means 'it's dead' for you, then you really don't understand what Reaktor is, or what it's for.
My own Reaktor install gets regular content updates, some of them are amazing, it never gets old!
At some point in the future, it's likely a big graphical update will be required to keep Reaktor relevant, that could be a turning point one way or the other, we'll have to wait and see.

Yep, fair enough, they have ditched all their non sample based products from K15… oh no wait, they haven't there are a bunch of them including quite a few that are 'powered by Reaktor', which is real strange as you are insisting K15 proves Reaktor is dead and they have completed the transition… blah blah… lols

Really no different than this classic from you earlier in the thread:
"Vadim seems to still be at NI, and he created core. I think there are others too. I guess they all work on other things alongside Reaktor, as you would expect".
So is Vadim still there or not? You "think" others are too? Who are these others exactly? And you "guess" they all work on other things alongside Reaktor?
You and I have zero idea who is at NI, what they do or what they are working on.
We are both speculating and we both know nothing.
One thing that we should be able to agree on is Reaktor has been locked at v6.50 for 18+ months now and shows no signs of being revived.

A dead cow can still be milked for a while 🤣
Just saying…

Stephan Schmidt runs non linear labs and since their c15 runs on reaktor , perhaps he could buy the remaining ip , he is the one of the original founders after all .
I assume Vadim Zavalishin is still on the team as Lead developer (inventor of core ) and I'd say he's the most important one .Either way , the future does not look bright , I have no respect whatsoever for those in charge that lead to this decision , they only care about revenue and keeping the stakeholders happy .
F'em , time to migrate fully to max-msp / plug (pure) data0 -
Stephan - yes that is the guy I could not remember - thank you!
Unfortunately business is business. No one ever said venture capitol firms were a friendly bunch.
They have a job to do and it rarely involves the customer - unfortunately.

Even if developers are on other projects or work in another company or have their own company…. It does not necesarilly mean that they will not help or do not do needed maintenance….
I have left one company two decades ago. And if they have called me that their client needs to update something on that SW, I have never said no. And it is even more complicated. I have not written a single line in that program, I just defined algorithms to be used. So, I maintain code done by other person….
So, many things are possible, if there is will…
It does not seem, NI would be willing to invest to Reaktor above maintenance needed. But they may change it one day. Or not. But still, Reaktor may stay in maintenace mode at least till the time Apple will again change CPU in their computers. It might be end of Reaktor.

So is Vadim still there or not?
According to his linked in profile, he is still at NI
