Well that's up to you of course. But it will work… I do this every 6 months (not because I have to, my reasons are unrelated to NI).
You just have to have a freshly installed macOS. Do an external backup using Time Machine, and when restoring files dont choose system files or applications. It's actually easier than you think. Plenty of resources online.

I cannot guess what has been installed into your macOS since 2019 but I would say it's time to do this. And just Upgrade from Ventura, properly, by clean install!

OK, thanks for the advice, ill bite the bullet and try a fresh install. Do you think Sonoma (over ventura) is a good idea for my 2019 intel mac, from an NI/traktor prespective as its main use is a dj laptop?? Again, thanks for your time/advice!!

so the new user account allowed me to open traktor, what does this mean! Still need a fresh install to make the other user account work?

It means that you have something installed on your original profile that is causing a conflict.

If you follow the suggestions, do a time machine backup, clean install macOS Sonoma using some recovery options which you'll need to look up, then upon restoring your iCloud ID and files, don't chose to import system files and settings, start clean it will be fixed. And yes Sonoma and Trackor on intel work perfectly.

Make sure you learn how to use Disk Utility first to wipe your drive clean and use Internet Recovery to get to the latest version. You could also create a bootable USB for Sonoma which ultimately would be better should you need to repeat the process.

My point being… you will need to erase the drive in disk utility first and then install Sonoma.
Don't simply upgrade over the top of current installation.
Plenty of details on line to help you achieve this.

clean install of sonoma, unticked settings, time machined back on, made absolutely no difference, same error messages! Any more ideas? Updating to 4.0.2 has crippled my computers ability to run any version of Traktor…

No problem, and that's exactly what you should have done if profile restore did not work for you.

You should be fine if you keep your macOS up to date yearly. But do always have a time machine backup so you can do the clean install if needed. You dont nessecarialy have to restore using the wizard. Thats another subject, but it looks like you have found your way!
