computer migration: how do I point Kontakt the location of all the missing libraries in one go?

Hi there,

bought a new macbook pro 2019 with 1TB HD and 32GB memory. I've migrated my files from my previous macbook. All the library files are correctly located under Users/Shared/library name.

However, I would like to point Kontakt to look for that location for all missing folders, instead of entering them manually, what i'm doing right now.

Also, because I have more HD space, i'd like to move some libraries from my external HD to the new Macbook. How do I do this without creating a lot of work for myself?

your help is greatly appreciated :0

Edgar

Any and all relocation should be done via Native Access.

In each entry under the Library view - click on the "three dots" menu to the far right and choose Locate.

Unfortunately - you will need to do this one at a time for every product.

thanks so much for the tip.

Is this the same procedure I need to follow for the files from the external HD?

Well - I do not believe NA actually moves anything for you when you click Locate - it merely "records" the location where you told it to look and uses it.

If it were me - I would manually move everything that you have into one central (standard) location on the Mac (ideally the same location that NA would install to as a Default if you were doing a brand new install) and then do the "locates" all at once - pointing NA to this singular base location each time for each library.
