Giving KK S61 as gift to relative
I'm giving S61 (mk1) to my sister. I don't know what software I'm loosing because I don't know if my Komplete 10 Ultimate Crossgrade attached to S61 or Machine mikro MK2 which I keep. Also I have KK M32 HW. I also bought Komplete 13 ultimate update. If I'm loosing all that software I better throw S61 to dumpster. I'm afraid if I unregister it all that software I have will be gone to her. I'm planning to buy S61 mk3 but in the future.
Thanks

It was changed a while back so you keep software that came with hardware. You won't lose anything and your sister will get the same basic software with the hardware. Full details of the hardware transfer process is here - Buying or Selling a Native Instruments Product Second-Hand – Native Instruments (native-instruments.com)

Your K10U Crossgrade will have, most probably, as Base Product Komplete Select, that comes with KK S61. But maybe also Mikro MK2 used to come with Komplete Select.
But anyway, as mykebj has mentioned, bundled SW should stay at your account anyway after transfer of HW.
If you are not sure, you may ask NI Support. Or just give S61 to your sister without transferring HW.

…Or just give S61 to your sister without transferring HW.
Since it is a MK1 controller, it's probably pretty close to 10 years old by now, if not more. It might not have a long life expectancy left for her.

I would have thought so too , but apparently not so , at least not in each and every case.
Ref. this discussion : Which software comes with KK MK1 if I sell it?

FYI I checked the account and the SW serial is not registered. The buyer will not get software automatically when registering the hardware serial. It is different than for MK2 or MK3 keyboards or for Maschine controllers.

The version IMHO depended on time when HW has been registered. Or licence for SW came on individual leaflet and had to be registered separately.

It does not have to be that old. Mk2 was released 7 years ago and mk1 was still sold few more years…

Point taken. But the MK1 is still getting long in the tooth and I'm not wrong for highlighting that.

My S88 MK1 is working 100% and fulfills exactly what I bought it for - the LightGuide and the NKS knob connectivity convenience and functionality. I am gutted that NI have declared it EoL.
I am now on a knife edge with every OS software update/upgrade I make and risk it being added to the great landfill pile when it eventually becomes "just" a generic MIDI controller (that I didn't buy it for).
This single NI decision has left a huge bitter taste for me… and I will consider very carefully what 88 key controller I purchase to replace it, likely NOT an S88 MK3 currently.

+1
Also on KK S88 mk1. It works just fine and most probably will many more years…
But I disslake NI's decision not to support it in new Komplete Kontrol SW. And I bet the same will happen to new Maschine SW that will probably come soon.
And as SW developer do not buy, it was not possible because of HW differences…..
I have decided not to buy any new NI HW any more… And I have a lot of NI HW…. When it dies, it will not be replaced by NI HW.

I have also (kind of/sort of) tentatively decided to hold off on new Native Instruments hardware purchases.
I did buy a new Novation controller, and once I get things decluttered here, I'll be trying that out alongside my MK3. Oh, I also bought a Yamaha Mongoose…okay, it's a Montage M6, but I'm going to name it Mongoose!
Anyway, I'm full up with keyboards having MIDI capability, so the ONLY new NI hardware I would consider getting at this point would be a new version of Maschine Studio. I like the bigger form-factor of the Studio, so Maschine MK3 doesn't thrill me like a new Studio would; I'd rather upgrade my Push 2 instead of buying a Maschine MK3.
