Komplete Kontrol Plugin not showing up in Pro tools after 3.3.2 update
I was just working on a session with Komplete Kontrol on a stereo instrument track. I closed the session to update my S88 mkIII firmware and Komplete Kontrol software. after the updates I reopened my session and I got an error message saying Komplete Kontrol was missing. Kontakt 7 works fine and all the VSTs in it. I then went to my pro tools plugin folder and Komplete Kontrol is there, But it is missing from my plugins list in my sessions. I have reinstalled it several times and do not know how to add it back to pro tools.
thanks!

Can you share a screenshot of the error message where it says Komplete Kontrol is missing?
Are you able to open Komplete Kontrol in standalone? Is everything functional?
If not, can you try these steps? KOMPLETE KONTROL Crashes

it’s odd, it’s less of a crash and more of the fact that it’s just missing out of the plugin folder all together. I thought maybe it had to do with the new s series mk3 update that kind of integrates komplete Kontrol in it. When I opened the pro tools session at first the message said that one plugin was missing from my folder and so when I went into pro tools I replaced that komplete Kontrol plugin with kontak 7, so I don’t get that message at startup anymore. Let me open some old sessions today and see if I have komplete Kontrol on anything else. I went into my plugin folder on my Mac for pro tools and there it was, so it’s not missing. The standalone works just fine, went into native access the installation path is good. I’ve reinstalled it a couple times but it just will not show up in pro tools anymore! Any other PT user find this recently?
sorry I should clarify: in the PT session itself the plugin isn’t on any of the lists like it use to be. When I go into my actual computer hardrive/library/application recourses/avid/audio/ to the plugins used folder it is listed there. So it’s just weird it’s not showing up all of a sudden when the only thing that changed was that I updated the s88 mk3 firmware with the latest one.0 -
the plugin does say it is in my PT plugin folder as well

Maybe it got blacklisted. Try removing it from the plugin folder and rescanning plugins in PT, then put it back and rescan again

@NickVegas Can you try the following:
- Delete the aax plugin from this location:
Mac HD > Library > Application Support > Avid > Audio > Plug-Ins - Open Pro Tools
- Close Pro Tools
- Install Komplete Kontrol with Native Access
- Open Pro Tools.
Did that fix the issue?

I will try this today! Deleting the plugin and reinstalling komplete Kontrol through native access will install the plugin again?
