BPM Adjust vs BPM nudge
So I've managed to you use the flexible beat grids on a couple of old funk records and they work as expected however one thing I've noticed is when I set a grid marker and want to adjust the BPM for the next, say eight bars, I cannot use the BPM adjust command in control manager. for some reason it only works with BPM nudge, which only allows me to change the BPM by very tiny increments (a fraction of a beat per minute) when I need to actually change the BPM by say 2 or 3 BPM.....any ideas why?

If you use the right mouse button to click, you get slightly larger increments. You can also hold down the button for a repeated increment.

Fastest way is to first mark the beats you want to define the tempo map, and then adjust the tempo in between. It only goes up and down in values that will make that marker pair fit a certain number of beats in between, and you can clearly see the right one that aligns the grid with the transients. And if for example in those bars there is a weird fill in between you can then put extra markers in between and adjust further (most times it will figure it out on its own when you place the marker)
It's genius and extremely fast

You can only set the new BPM effectively after the last grid marker, the play head needs to be past the beginning of the new grid marker. Delete all future grid markers before setting the new BPM, you can only go forward in this regard, you will need to delete future grid markers first. Does this work for you? I'm still testing it. Let me know if it does. You can add another grid marker after your '8 bars' with a new BPM.
And send a screenshot in preparation mode while cues are displayed. Would love to test this track out.

This did not work....I made sure I was only editing the bpm after the last grid marker but the bpm still did not change......what I did notice was that the grid was moving before the first grid marker, but nothing was changing after the last!!! So the bpm adjust command was doing something just not where I want it to.
Another thing I noticed was that I can change the bpm manually with my mouse after the last grid marker but cannot do so using controller manager. If I map it to a knob with controller manager it changes the bpm before the first grid marker right at the beginning of the track....:-/
