Hello everyone

Last week, my new Kontrol S61mk3 used to work fine. The setup:

  • desktop PC
  • Windows 11 from 2023
  • powerfull power supply, connected to S61mk3 with a USBC cable
  • data connection with the original NI cable
  • software: NI Access, Komplete Kontrol, Komplete Ultimate 14, etc.

Yesterday, on the exact same setup, but after the installation of a more recent 2024 version of Windows 11 23H2, i cannot install the keyboard properly. It stays in MIDI mode ("Default MIDI template" on the keyboard screen). Please see screen capture of the device manager. It is recognized, but not as a MIDI controller.

What i already tried:

  • of course, i installed the last Windows update, the last motherboard drivers, the last NI Access and Komplete Kontrol.
  • many alternative cables, on top of the original one, type C-C and C-A
  • many of the free USB port of the destop PC, USB C and USB A, with or without USC-A adapter
  • a USB hub, with three USB-A and a USB-C port
  • to follow the driver update procedure of the "audio, video and game controller / Kontrol S61 mk3" and the "USB bus controller / composite USB device" leads nowhere: no Native Instruments driver / Kontrol S mk3 available.

I am now really bored. Could anyone help ?

Thank you 🙂
