"Please grant permission to Native Access to install dependencies" Win 11 Pro Problem
I can't successfully install Native Access on a new fully updated Windows 11 Pro PC. I always get stuck on "Please grant permission to Native Access to install dependencies"
I have visted and followed all the instructions at:https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/13712583860125-Native-Access-Error-Please-grant-permission-to-Native-Access-to-install-dependencies
..downloading the latest installers and the NTK Daemon installer rebooting as I go and making sure I'm always in administrator mode. I've tried this several times, to no avail.
I've opened a ticket with support three days ago but no one has replied so far. Does anyone know what I should do to get Native Access running?

Did you try installing as admin user while logged into your Microsoft account? This seems to be necessary these days for certain write permissions on launch. (right-mouse-click "run as admin" on the installer). Sorry if you already tried that; just a thought.

You need to run the installer as an Admin as Simchris wrote and in case of problems then also always start the Native Access as an Admin.
Else then try checking the below articles for help :
Allow an app to access controlled folders
block third-party app installations in Windows 11/10 (for how to unblock)
Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files
Else try uninstalling both Native Access and NTKDaemon using Windows uninstall , including running the NI reg tool and remove anything Native Access and NTKDaemon afterwards. Uninstalling the NTKDaemon may require that you kill the process in Task manager to avoid it hanging .
And then afterwards then download latest version of Native Access for your OS , and reboot computer into safe mode and install the Native Access there as an Admin . (using Admin in safe mode might require you to turn on the Admin account in safe mode)

Thanks for the advice. In the end I had to wait for NI support to produce an updated NTKDaemon and everything started working. Only took about 5 days! All good now :)

May I ask you where you got that new NTKDaemon installation file from?
Did NI send it to you, or is it now part of the latest and greatest NA default installer?The reason why I'm asking is that I'm now afraid I have similar problems on my Win11 PC.
And these issues came out of nowhere after installing the latest NA release (via "self-update").Maybe that was a big mistake.
Everytime I'm opening up now K7, MA2, KK2… a kind of log window pops up.
It's telling me in its first entry that permissions are missing for certain NI files.Has NI changed something essential with their background services behavior?
Some new ports involved that firewalls could eventually block?
Some new "deep scan" approaches introduced that latest WinOS updates don't allow anymore per se?I've never had such problems before.
And I'm now really a little bit worried if the whole NI ecosystem has beeen finally screwed up completely.0 -
