Hello, I have a question regarding the power supply of Traktor S4 MK3 :
The original power supply has a 15V-2,66A specification.
I would like to replace this power supply with a 15V-3.5A power supply. ( ifI-iPower Elite ).
I am hoping for a clearer, tidier, better sound.
Is this possible ? without damaging the S4MK3 ?
Many thanks in advance for your help
Hannes

Yes, more amp just means the PSU can deliver more. I highly doubt it will change the sound.

Make sure the polarity is the same:

I don't remember the the exact numbers, but I think the s4 mk3 needs below 1 Amp @ 15v when not using the turn table mode. Only in turntable mode and holding down the platter will the amp spike.

    Wow! £300?

Well if you are happy to spend that much on a PSU then as long as the polarity is correct and the DC plug barrel is the right size then yes it will work (the voltage is correct, higher amp capability is no problem).

As for it having any effect on the sound quality, I wouldn't bet on it.

Thank you guys, I'm still trying to use a better power supply and a better USB cable than the original standard cable. Maybe then I'll hear a difference in the "sound quality." Would be great !!

Might be worth to also take a look at the Entreq Victoria Cable Lifters.

"Might be worth to also take a look at the Entreq Victoria Cable Lifters."

So, visually, I don't necessarily like it. But thank you for this very amusing suggestion.

I will certainly find out whether "clean" electricity affects the sound.

"A fool and his money are easily parted"…

So you find that you can't hear "clean" electricity. I accept your opinion. In any case, it is worth a try.
