Logic Pro 11 was announced today and releases in 1 week on 5/13/2024. Is there any chance- any chance at all- it won’t break all my NI stuff?

Although it's a new version number it looks very much to be an evolution of Logic 10, I can't see anything in there that would change fundamentally how it works. However no one knows till it comes out, I guess there will always be a chance but just as much with any new version.

Logic Pro 11 new features look great!

A.I. Players is an area that NI should be leading the industry in… but it is not so.

Yeah I'm not pleased about that, not something I would use. And really STEMS is a very limited and formulaic approach to decomposing and remixing music. I would have thought a DAW like Logic which caters for a much broader range of artists and composers than just people who make music with drums, bass and vocals would be better off integrating something that can decompose layers regardless of whether they contain drums, bass and vocals or anything else - something like Spectralayers would make more sense which can do this without needing to constrain it to a few standardised types of sound - it could use Spectralayers in fact if ARA2 is fixed but they don't mention that.

NI stuff will probably break if anyone changes anything anywhere. 😁

Well, here goes nothing. I fully expect all NI products to degenerate into a pool of black slime that oozes out through my Mac’s USB ports as soon as I launch Logic Pro 11. Standby.

your anticipation for things to break is noteworthy LOL

perhaps confidence is waning on that front? ..so funny! haha
