S4 MK3 not connecting with MacBook i5 processor and Monterey 12.7.4 but works with F1

Hi there, 
I've a Traktor Kontrol S4 Mk2. I've downloaded your trial of Traktor Pro 3.
I've went through the troubleshooting articles. I have Monterey 12.7.4 and i5 intel processor. 
My USB port is 3.0. 
I can't find anything saying NIAUDIO under Extensions. 
The controllers also don't show up under settings in Traktor pro as per the screenshot. 
I can play the sample tracks through my Macbook which is a 2015 Macbook Air. 
The F1 I have is recognised, it;s just the S4 controller that I can't get to operate. When I switch it on there is a brief sequential display from the lights on the controller but then goes dark and stays that way. 
There is definitely sound as I can hear grounding through the speakers when I switch on/off. 
I've checked the drivers it says nothing needs to be updated.

    Got it running. Managed to update the Mac until I got to Sonoma 14.4.1 at which point NIAUDIO appeared under extensions and it works fine now.

    First question: Mk2 or Mk3? The caption says the latter your post tells first one.

    Second question: Is your S4 working on other computers?

    Third question: Is our S4 appearing in macOS System Profiler in USB section?

    Usually your S4 (no matter if Mk2 or Mk3) with Monterey. Only first generation isn't supported anymore.

    I just bought it used and he said S4 MK2 but I'm wondering if it's just S4. Tried looking up the serial number but couldn't find anything to confirm.

    It was working on his Dell before I bought it yes.

    I can see it under USB. I could not find NIAUDIO under extensions though.

    I updated the laptop to Ventura, that also didn't help.

    Tried downloading Traktor 2 but app store says it's not compatible without an M1 chip.

    Oh for real? The s4 mk1 works with Sonoma?

    I doubt Sonoma supports 32-bit but maybe somebody else can also confirm. Support stopped in 2018.

    Yeah couldn't believe it. MacBook air 2015. Used Open Core to bypass it not letting me update past Monterey. Got Ventura, then Sonoma. Plugged it in and got a shock as it's perfect.

    Right.... Got a shot on the MK1 and it's all good except for SYNC. Sets the track very fast and had to beat match myself instead.

    Any ideas? I'm possibly making a mistake, and hoping it's nothing to do with software.

    There is a bug that sometimes makes a deck have a tiny minimal amount of pitch bend. You can see it when the deck is stopped; the track moves ever so slightly on it's own, even making scratching sounds. If you sync that particular deck, it makes it speed up like crazy. This can also happen with jogwheels when they are not being turned but the exact position is repeatedly signaling on/off because of dirt/dust underneath.

    My personal workaround was to designate a key or button (like SYNC using overmapping, but not override) to set tempobend value to exactly zero.

    So in Traktor controller I think I saw you can assign keys. Try there correct?
