I've got 6 libraries left to download on my new build, and I'm getting this error. I've changed the download and library locations to fix, there's plenty of space, I'm stuck. Help the old Woofie!

I had the same problem a couple of days ago. Uninstalling Native Access 3 and installing Access 2 did the trick for me. After installing the libraries I uninstalled 2 and reinstalled 3 and everything has been working fine.

Lawd, I hope I don't have to do that. I've got Ultimate or whatever, and it takes forever as it is, with a 2 gig connection!

Eldon, that did indeed do the trick. Thank you!

I'm thoroughly fed up of this...recently I used Kontakt 7 (Abbey Road 60s Drummer) for a drum track in Logic and yesterday, for no reason I can see, the track just wouldn't play...silence! I open Native Access 2 and try to install and (about eight software instruments show as needing to be installed) but when I try I get the same message Installation Failed: Review your location preferences. As far as I can gather from the forums this is an all-too-common problem. I have been using Komplete Kontrol and a whole host of NI products including Kontakt for years and this thing comes out of nowhere it seems...When I bought the software I was under the impression that I had bought for life...have I not? I'd be happy to reinstall the stuff but I can't how to get beyond the same infuriating error message. I have tried switching to Native Access 2 but to no avail.

Of course you have bought the software for the life (of the software at least)(referring to the changing time OS, computers and what not)

But as you point of yourself then others have been struck by this and still it's not necessarily like if one solution fits all.

You might as well just contact N.I. Native Access and Installation Support and have them fix the mess for you !

After receiving email confirmation then please allow support up to a week to answer and if they do not respond within a week then politely update your ticket to let support know that you are still waiting for a response ! Also N.I. support do not work in the weekend !

I tried to update Guitar Rig 6 Pro to Guitar Rig 7 Pro and had the same problem: "installation failed: review your location preferences"

The location preferences were as they should be and there was nothing else I could do to solve the problem.

Uninstalling the actual Native Access and downloading and installing Native Access 1.14, then uninstalling NA 1.14 and downloading and installing the actual Native Access worked for me.

Many thanks to Eldon for the tip!
