Komplete Kontrol stuck on "Waiting for product scan..."
With my external drive connected, which contains the instrument libraries it gets stuck immediately on the opening screen. Without the drive, it opens up fine. If i connect the drive when its already open and try to rescan, it also gets stuck and doesn't respond.
I tried reinstalling Komplete Kontrol and it happens in standalone, as inside of reaper.
(Reaper just crashes instantly...)

I always open it as administrator and I allowed it through the firewall so that wasn't it. BUT: there were updates for some FX plugins (bite, choral, dirt...) available just now. After updating everthing seems to be in order now.

That sounds like a drive problem, not a KK problem.

I'm not sure about that, because Kontakt 7 and all the other applications are working.

Sounds to me like an 'access' problem , either user access or a security program blocking (e.g. AV) , such 'access' problems can also happen if a path name is too long or contains characters that some program does not like !
