Hi everyone! :)

The issue is simple but annoying. Simply powering Maschine MK3 up, it starts fine... The MK3 work's briefly with latest Maschine 2 (64bit) version and then freezes.

I can't figure out what is the problem, here are some things I have already tried:

  • Different USB-cable
  • Attaching to a different usb port (2.0 or 3.0 either does not work)
  • Restarting Maschine MK3, or plugging/re-plugging USB from Maschine MK3
  • Restarting system helps briefly, then freezing again

Worst thing is: it worked in the last place I lived in. Hopefully nothing broke out in the moving. I think the problem is with this new updated software... ([Maschine 2] <-this was it's name before and everything worked out brilliantly. now it's [Maschine 2 64-bit] and I think that this could be the very issue)

In convenience, here's my specs:

  • 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700f 2.10 GHz

    Hi again!

Ok. I switched the USB-Cable to a class-compilant one and now it works like a charm, even with second monitor on.

Sorry, I accidently close the tab...

    So...

Specs (Those that matter in Audio Production):

    • Intel B660 (Alder Lake-S PHC)
    • 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700f 2.10 GHz
    • 64GB DDR5-4800 MHz (2400+2400)

I'm running out of troubleshooting options here. Maybe reverting to older version of Maschine 2 Software will do.

    Thanks in advance!

    The issue was fixed!

    1. Turn 2nd monitor off
    2. Restart PC
    3. Start Maschine MK3 while logged in
    4. Launch Maschine 2 DAW
    5. Profit

P.S. This forum should add the "Edit" - Button to the messages, see above posting "accidents" too.

Happy to hear you found a solution!

    Are you from Finland?

The what? Class-compilant USB-Cable? 🤨 Do they exist? At least USB 2.0 version?

Final solution was actually disabling and closing all processes of Nord VPN. I don't know why, but this may be the case in some situations. And yes, I am from Finland :)

Well, I don't know exactly Class compilant USB Cable, but a cable with same specs. I actually switched back to Native Instruments cable, since it seems that the issue was all along with Nord VPN app. Closing that from taskbar made Maschine MK3 work like butter, even with the original cable, which came with MK3.

However, I suggest going through these steps, if nothing has worked for someone else.
