9 for 99 Promo - website is completely wacked?
Excited to see the return of the 9 Expansions for $99 promo today - but what is going on with the website?
Seems after I log in (with my NI Acct) there is this cool toggle that allows me to "Hide" any expansions I already own - which is (probably) pretty cool to go shopping with. But when I turn it on - I get a wide variety of results - ALL of which are not even close to being accurate.
My new fav is this:
Where the website is telling me I am fully stocked up :)
Which is not even close to being true.
Hopefully the web team can look at this.
Side question: Could not find the appropriate forum for this - maybe NI could consider adding a "soundware" forum where all things sound/sample-wise could be discussed? Or maybe a Website forum?
Food for thought
Cheers
VP

It works fine on my end. Are you, perhaps, using a browser plug-in that may interfer with it?

I only have three extension in Edge = none of which have ever caused any issues (LastPass, OneNote clipper and a single YouTube extension) - that is all I use.

That’s a long standing malfunctioning. It’s been a while those kind of “selections” or “owned recognitions” in website are not reliable.
It cross from not showing correct instruments to not showing correct update/upgrade paths.
And things displayed change from time to time.
All things that have already been reported from a long time, but don’t seem to change
Just the other day out of curiosity I wanted to check my prices for the new Action Woodwinds. Well…it seems website doesn’t want to recognize me owning Komplete 14 Collectors edition (so practically almost every NI product) and therefore says me I don’t qualify for the crossgrade for the bundle (which, between, can’t be checked anywhere for the products needed).
And…it’s months NI thinks in Switzerland we pay with Japanese Yen…
Let’s say the cure in these kind of things is not at the state of the art…
And since all of this have to do with NI ability to recognize the products we own or who we are… and they say we have the infamous Daemon mandatory to constantly run in our computers exactly for this…I find this quite worrying

I get what you write and that it does not function as it should do. But just for arguments sake then did you try another browser like e.g. Firefox or Vivaldi Browser or even Google Chrome ? (with all cookies accepted and no disturbing plugins )
I appear to have zero problems. (other than it only shows 6 products)(I got K14CE) Not that that helps you ! but it would be nice to know if another browser helped ! (I always have four browsers on my PC for testing if I got a problem surfing , I find it highly efficient for trouble shooting!)

The instruments that are available are almost certainly rendered on the web server rather than at the browser side, so I'm guessing the problem is at the back end where it's filtering what it thinks you already own.
I see three available which is correct for me for that offer. The bundles are where it's completely wrong - I can upgrade from K14UCE to K14 standard for a mere £179 🤣

You most likely got more Komplete Select than you know what to do with.
What you are looking at most likely is an upgrade offer for a Select number two ? (There has been many discussions in the forum for the reason for what you are experiencing and usually people can not agree on that either - so please let us not start a discussion about that - I just gave you my guess !)

Could be that - the business logic really needs sorting out so it doesn't offer you upgrades to products you already own, or lesser products (e.g. K14 when you have UCE). Doesn't really matter what you can technically do, it should apply common sense. That way you wouldn't get many discussions about it with people saying "the web site is stupid".

To ensure a VERY clean test - just installed Firefox to one of my VMs - clean with no extensions.
Upon first login to my NI acct - not only do I not even see the Hide/Show button (nowhere to be seen) - I get a hodge podge of expansions - some that are legit not part of my collection and then a bunch that I already have.
So I hit F5 to refresh - and the Show/Hide button magically appears. Then I click Hide Owned Products and I get a slightly different hodge-podge that looks good for about the first 12 expansions listed and then as I keep scrolling down - it devolves into a mismash of stuff I have and stuff I don't.
Not exactly sure how much cleaner this can get with this test - but there is some bad a** code in here that clearly does not work.

Having to accept all cookies (included ones “selling” infos about me) is simply not acceptable for having that functionality.
In any case I know what I own (and eventually I check under my account and/or the Collectors Edition page), so I don’t need NI to do it for me.
But offering such a functionality and then having it broken is a pity. And what also mikejb confirms (wrong suggestions on the bundle prices, even if only by showing a price based on another product we own when we already have something superior) is even worst.
It just underline a poorness in attention to details

I have Komplete 14 Ultimate here and have lost count on how marketing emails or website promos I have seen where I am able to "upgrade" from K14 ULT to K14 Standard - for just $299.00 CDN!
Whatta a deal - I mean cmon?
If this was working - I should only ever be offered K14 Collectors Edition and that's it.
But that would be too logical (and wishful thinking).
Where is Simon_NI when we need him - does he have any pull in the web dev department?

At least you don’t have to pay in Yen for the upgrade you don’t need 😂

Well the first time I pressed the Native Instruments logo at the top left of this page, it took me to their main page but was in German.
\Refreshing the page and this time it’s in English.
Like mykejb, I also own the collectors edition, and they’ve offered me this deal
and as Poorfellow says, it’s because I own machine mk3, S88 mk3 and have a load of select packages.
Checking my products and serials, I see I have one “Komplete Kontrol 14 select” thats unregistered, one “Komplete Kontrol 14 Select” that is registered to HW, one “Komplete Kontrol 11 select” that’s registered for Komplete Kontrol Keyboards, and one “Komplete Kontrol 11 select” that’s registered for Maschine.
But it can’t be that hard to program their web page to check what I already own?
Its not a major thing, just looks a little unprofessional.

Thank you for that report. I have no idea how well a virtual machine works with this but I will let you be the judge of that and you are the expert of your computer. Also , I generally think that both you and a lot of other people here appear to be very competent computer users so I am sorry if you think that I have wasted your time. I am just old school I guess and likes to test things to be sure ! 🙂
I also agree with LostinFoundation with respect to cookies and with anyone that thinks that a site that doesn't function well appears as maybe at least a bit unprofessional to the 'surfer' ! With respect to cookies then I myself use several means to try to control what data trace that I leave when 'surfing'. But for test purposes then I still think that accept all cookies and no plugins can be called for in the moment of testing. (I think that another reason to always have another browser ready that one considers reliable)

Be careful with that idea of “in the moment of testing”. If you give one site the permission to collect your data one time to give to X Y and Z companies, they will be in that database. It doesn’t matter if next time you eventually say no. If your email address has been recorded for that database, it won’t be deleted cause you say no next time.
