    just as a side note...

the way in which Realearn implements midi feedback peak levels...

is it takes the audio levels,, and based on the audio range you set... it will in turn trigger a range of midi values(colour variations or level height variations)

so having Realearn recognise audio.... makes it incredibly versatile....

as this means any audio source... can be monitored when fed through realearn!!

so effectively you are reading an audio signal and making midi respond accordingly... which is basically the idea of monitoring levels for a mixer (only that it is done on a midi controller)

So in terms of whats occurring in the video i posted above.....

im sending maschine's groups out on EXT 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 etc into realearns midi peaks feedback which then provides the feedback shown in the video(bear in mind im using 4 plugin instances of maschine in the above video, it might only come across as 1 maschine project... but im actually controlling the group levels of separate 4 projects)

    so just to clarify...

in the DAW plugin context... you can have your maschine plugin show the sound levels' whilst in maschine mode(with maschine mixer focussed on all the sounds)

additionally you can have another midi-controller providing audio midi feedback on the Group level in midi mode... which does not change the focus of the maschine plugin on your screen

effectively giving you 2 separate feedback mechanisms to work with...

1 maschine software with maschine controller

2 midi controller operating on the DAW level, to take the EXT outs feed them into the RealearnVST to provide midi feedback

Thus a maschine mode and a midi mode working in tandem... hopefully that made sense to you LOL

I see, I tend to use Maschine in standalone, and never as a plug in. That is indeed a missed opportunity, would be nice if mk3 & Jam could independent of each other mix on a level to group ratio. I will give the midi mode a swing.

As far as DAWs go I don’t have reaper, I use Logic…

But Generally try to do everything within Maschine..

Is the realer VST only available for Reaper? Or does it also work in Logic?

lets just say Realearn is downloadable and likely can be run on any DAW i suspect...

but as the VST is designed to work with Reaper... it will likely not do much if used within any other DAW, but i havent tried it in any other... so i cannot say

but given Reaper is literally a free Trial no limitations... i would encourage you to trial it
