Is it true that Maschine doesn't receive aftertouch? Even though they've been selling $1000 Maschine-integrated keyboards with aftertouch for 8 years? This should be an outrage.
Aftertouch is one of those things I didn’t care about until I experienced it. I have multiple synths with aftertouch now and it is fun and especially useful when playing with both hands. Even if Maschine just enabled it so you could trigger and record with other devices that would be awesome!
Indeed, it’s fascinating how natural expressiveness can be added to synthetic sounds when playing with AT.
You're correct, I should have added a caveat my post.. The conversation seemed to be taking a turn towards the keyboard itself rather than specifically Maschine so I figured I'd clarify that point.
It's quite common for companies to rush products to market and deal with the software later, especially if the software part is a free update. If they wait to get the software to fully support poly AT, they may already have lost market share to competitors. Besides, technically software is never 100% right.
LOL I usually suck at predictions but damn this time I nailed it 😅
NI is so innovative. What is going on over there? It’s a bit hilarious and a bit sad. Aftertouch is so hard they gave up. 😂
No it's just Maschine is behind the times, but I am cautiously optimistic that the next major version will support aftertouch
