Kind of off topic I suppose; but someone @ NI added this topic to the top of the forum with this image:

I find it kind of funny. That would be a pretty poor setup. You're going to switch your entire monitoring setup just to use a different mic? lol

What I find kinda ‘funny’ is the minimal setup with a NI device… where Komplete Audio 6 should state ‘Class Compliant audio interface’. So marketing matches documentation… from day 1. Just like the image with the ‘Mobile Power bank’.

I think the original purpose of the picture is to convey that to use a condenser mic you need an external interface while a dynamic mic works fine with the internal one...

The pic is merely illustrative, not meant to be too literal, it's mainly to make things look better on the highlights.

Hummm... Do you mean remove "Audio 6" and put "Class Compliant Interface" on the picture? But that wouldn't be true either since many that are supposedly Class Compliant don't seem to work, hence this thread. I can change it but then someone else can come out of a bush and claim it's false info too. 🤔

I would come out of a bush with pitch forks!

What would bee useful here is a post at the top of the thread with a compiled list of the interfces that work and those that do not so we don't need to page through 8 pages to find out. Not saying this should be on the OP, but if NI mods are making image imbedded stickys and such, the above would be far more useful.

Or maybe set it up soo that user can enter their reported working nad not working interfaces that then pop up at the top, like how some forums have a vote feature that compiles results at the top of thread.

Good reminder, I was working on a list and forgot, I will get back to it, but I have to finish some notes and ask some questions because some things reported as not working started working at some point, version 1.5.

I haven't decided or consulted with admins yet but the best might be to close this thread and start over(?), my list is not fully finished but so far looks like this:

More practical than looking through 10 pages of comments.

D-One back at it again! THX

    I'll add

    Tascam Model 12 works great.

Motu M6 does not as it has cyclic audio crunch.

damn near everyone of the interfaces listed in this thread as not working, works flawlessly with.......Akai Force and MPC's. If you want a standalone workstation, why not go with the brand that wrote the book on standalone? You want a great midi controller or keyboard, go with NI....btw all the NI expansions work flawlessly on my akai force....just sayin'

I recently purchased an Apollo twin and couldn’t get it to work with my mk3. I retired it and upgraded to a machine plus. Your post really made my day. Fingers cross that it works when I receive it Monday. I may reach out to you for help is needed. Thanks in advance.

Not sure if Apollo twin will work though, its an older product and as such might have a different USB class compliance implementation than the Volt 276. In any case, even if you get the Apollo to work, you will be locked out of UA Console as that one requires a mac or a PC (Maschine+ is a linux variant)

I’ve currently got a LiveTrak L-8 and I can’t get it to show up in the M+. Did you have to do any special on the L20 to get it to be recognized? What audio I/F mode are you selecting: windows or macOS? Did you have to install a driver on your PC when using it with a computer?

    EDIT:
Ok, I did some playing around and I finally got it working! The trick with the Zoom LiveTrak devices is that in order to set it to be in class compliant mode, you have to use batteries or battery eliminator devices (available on Amazon) to power the mixer because it will only use the USB connection for transmitting audio when in that mode.

Once I did that I was able to see it show up on the Maschine+ audio settings and could use all 8 inputs within Maschine which is exactly what I wanted. I can also still use the MIDI ports on the Maschine which is great because the LiveTrak doesn’t have MIDI ports.

I’m gonna do some further stress testing to see if I encounter any drop outs or weird behavior. It’s probably safe to say all of the Zoom LiveTrak line of products are compatible with Maschine+ if you do the necessary steps to get it into class compliant mode.

Actually the check with any audio interface is that as long as it's a class compliant interface Maschine Plus should be able to work with it.

That's almost right. The interfaces that I was able to test and worked were all class compliant, that's true.

But strangely enough, there seem to be different interpretations of this implementation in the Linux kernel world as well as among the manufacturers of the interfaces.

And that is the problem here why some (in my observation) newer class compliant interfaces like the MOTU Ultralight MK5 don't work with M+ and many users are therefore waiting for the announced M+ update, which contains a new version of the linux kernel. That's how I understood it.
