native access 3.6.1 -> 3.6.2 (chicken and egg)
My copy of Native Access version 3.6.1 has the double-notification bug described in the 3.6.2 release notes, and (drum roll) that prevents me from updating to 3.6.2 to fix the bug. Is there any known workaround? Command line arguments or something? 3rd time was not a charm, if I keep restarting is it likely to work on the [20]th try? Do I need to (yuck) uninstall and download the new version?
Win 10 home, x86_64, Lenovo ideapad 720S-13IKB

Possibly the easiest way is to just uninstall NA and download it from its respective site. I faced the same bug and did just that. No big deal.

Yes , 'cure' for that one is to download latest N.A. installer and install it on top of old / previous version !

Really? I am on Windows 10 latest version and my Access get stucked on 3.5 Version, now could of days ago I bought Maschine Plus and I didn't use Computer but I am wondering do you recommend to delete Access and download it again ( new version ) or to download latest version and run as Administrator over existing 3.5 version? Thank you in advance, It would mean a lot to me because soon I will finish most of Music I am currently working on and I want to solve this issue .

It... doesn't really matter. You can either uninstall Native Access, download the installer off the site and then install it again -or- just skip the uninstall step and install Native Access over your currently installed version.
I did the extra mile back then "to feel more safe", but it likely wouldn't have mattered at all.

Back in October 2023 , when post that you refer to were written, then there were a specific issue with updating Native Access where , quote : 'cure' for that one is to download latest N.A. installer and install it on top of old / previous version !
Also, historically, there has been problems for some users where not even uninstalling the old Native Access were enough to make sure that the re-install would work correctly and where systems apparently needed a deep scrub to be free from old version before installing the new version.
Concerning Native Access and Windows , and Windows in general then problems installing something nearly always are 'access problems' though the reasons for these access problems may vary from situation to situation, from lack of basic user privileges to problems with file already existing and being locked for some reasons !
Generally speaking though then, at the moment as of February 2024, then if you are already using a close to newest version of Native Access then Native Access usually will not have any problems updating. However, if you have any problems updating Native Access or you suspect that you might have any problems then the standard procedure would be to uninstall Native Access and then on top of that use the N.I. reg tool to remove all traces of both Native Access and the NTKDaemon.
Again , as implied in the above then you will also need to run both tool and installers as an Admin and be sure that you have sufficient access privileges to the computer.

Thank you, I will try with deleting solution but it's a too much experimental procedure to me but I believe that if it solved updating of Access then why would I be so careful and maybe too much. Thank you

I hope that it will work for you. Incidentally , on the subject of being careful , then when your computer works as you like then you ought always take a full image based system drive backup so that you have a backup to revert to if you ever have mishaps. System drive backups obviously however do not backup content not found on system drive !

I had a problem with the auto-update a while back. I uninstalled Native Access and installed the latest version off the web site without a problem. You don't lose any installed products or licences. I just uninstalled it again and reinstalled to check!
