Is the Traktor DJ 2 worth it?

I’ve been around music production for a while now but only starting to take it more serious this year and that includes djing. Money is always tight so I’ve been working on a budget. It doesn't help my older preowned laptop died on me and wont work at all. But I did barely found out the DJ 2 is for free and was wondering if it’s worth it. Mind you I’m knowledgeable on Maschine 2 and general production but know absolutely nothing about djing.

It has not been updated for 4 years. It only supports a very limited amount of controllers.

If you are willing to buy any kind of hardware they often come with software.

But like milo said, it's free. But you can also give Mixxx a spin. It's free and open source.

I mean, it is free, you can try it out.

I tried it and it is actually fun and cool to use.
