Raum- Mix and Reverb Control

As the reverb control only affects the effect (wet) signal, it doesn't matter whether you use Raum on a send or return effect. It simply affects the amount of reverb in the effect's signal (as the name suggests). If the parameter is on 0, you only hear the early reflections (or delay). If it's on 100%, you only hear the reverb, but no early reflections.

And, yes, put the mix parameter on 100%, if you use Raum as a send effect (as you always should do with reverb effects). You control the effect amount with the send amount in your DAW then.

"Wet" means that you only hear the effect signal, opposed to the original AND effect signal going out of the effect. For send effects, ALWAYS use 100% wet in the plugin. Or, in Raum's case, 100% "Mix". The Mix or Wet parameter only makes sense when you use the effect as an insert effect.

Yes, absolutely. Depends on whether or not you are looking for a more "reverb" type of effect, or early reflection or delay type effect. If you dial in 0 for the reverb parameter, you can use Raum as a delay effect. 😉 Sounds pretty damn good too.

I don't know how NI did this. Both Raum and Replika sound absolutely crystal clear, something I never got from other delay or reverb FX. Really superior sound quality.
