Think you're meant to add a new person not already posted here ;)

Never used a NI Keyboard. But I have Komplete and Maschine+ and a small 2 octave keyboard. Would be glad to receive a free KK to play with it as my main keyboard.

I'm currently doing a lot of theater soundtrack work and my current (cheap) MIDI keyboard has developed quite a few nasty malfunctions. But I'm too broke to buy anything new right now, so I'll just cross my fingers that I win this. Good luck everyone!

I want one of these keyboard, because they are cute as me; and with it i'll look so cute..... and make some nice music.

I follow @fluffy NI are the best ever, magic synths sounds.

I would love a bigger MIDI controller. I will tag @Finest Things because they're above my comment

    @Kaiwan_NI @Matt_NI and other admins:

There is a person there who came just in December, @FinestThings without posts or general presence.

Yet, over 50 newcomers, all of them making their first post in this thread and they all tagging him!!!

I assume that some silly teenager (or a small "gang" of them) think that he is smart and we are stupid.

This is a fraud. I expect to exclude all of them from the giveaway and ban them from forum too, at least those with obviously similar data.

I’m just curious to see if this time the giveaway will be managed in a better way than last time (or, at least, following the rules they chose to set up)

About so many new users just creating an account to participate at the giveaway…I guess that’s what they were aiming at, therefore I suppose they are happy. It’s not that they made this giveaway to reward somebody deserving it…it’s more a way to have more numbers and a sort of advertising (no matter if those are people involved or just writing one post and then disappearing…or even someone “cheating”…you know…in nowadays world, what matters are the numbers, not the quality)

Probably, or maybe he is just a popular kid and then he told everyone to tag him.

    Seriously tho...it is a probability.

About you, L.I.F. (abbreviation of your name), you are right about that.

Rarely does the quality matter more than quantity.

You still need quantity tho, if you want people to truly go deeper into your content.

I’m not saying this is wrong. They have all the rights to do so, if what they’re after is just numbers.

it’s like those companies telling you “hey, I give you this free sounds pack, or this free lite version plugin. I just need your email adress”. This is all they want and they are after, not to give something free to users out of generosity. Nothing wrong in that, and if you agree, you’ll get a free sounds pack/plugin. That’s the form of nowadays commerce. And if they do it, probably it’s because it works and is making them gain something.

Take this giveaway as an example. The way a company reason is: we put a prize of XXXX $. We will have XXXX users giving us their email and telling us they are probably the kind of people interested in a product like the one we offer. Out of these XXXX users, probably 90% will never go further, but 10% is a possible buyer. is this info (plus the return in positive image of the company by giving away keyboards “for free”) worth the XXXX $ we put on the prize? If yes, let’s do the giveaway. It’s all marketing. Simple as that

I’m just stating how things work, not that it’s the devil. Maybe a little sad, but not in any way wrong.

And I don’t even think that creating an account just to participate to a giveaway is wrong. Trying your own chance is more than legit, even if then you won’t be bringing anything positive to the forum (except the numbers NI will be able to use in some way). What the hell…I’ll probably do it too ☺️

But what Sunborn underlined is a different thing, some sort of not participating in a “correct” way (he even call it “fraud”).

Luckily around halfway of this thread someone from NI said that in some way they are able to see who created multiple accounts just to have more chances. We will see if this giveaway will be managed in a correct way or will have some sort of “not really transparent” problems like last one. Or…we will not be able to see it and therefore everyone will be happy because unaware 😂

Sunborn, I checked some of the accounts that tagged FinestThings, and they all have pretty different data...

Again, it might be a popular person.

Or maybe he is trying to play super smart to the point that he writes the different information on purpose.

On one account, he wrote Windows 10.

On the other account, he wrote Mac OS and some NI hardware.

    Etc... etc...

Yeah, it is a bit fishy...

Obviously i mean not the things that anyone can see on a profile, but the things that only an admin can see with the right tools that every forum has.

    Yeah.

We will see if these are the same person or not.

Again, i need to say it: people can create multiple emails as well, not just accounts.

Unlikely, considering that he's just registered for a month, and had 1 post in total.
