No, that's great. It was actually the VST3 I was hoping for. Just switched the graphics over. Likewise, thanks to all. Looks and sounds neat.

Sorry super noob question, i am running on a mac and cant get presetmagician to work (tried in crossover) and i want to do ik multimedia mixbox .. whats the best way to convert 600 presets other than doing each one by hand?
Also can i make a nks browsable file that loads an au ( so i can use intel plugins in maschine running in native mode)

-The best way to convert 600 presets is... by hand, one by one, unfortunately (until finally someone gets hand on this wonderful tool, Preset Magician and evolve it and turn it to VST3 compatible -i wish i had that knowledge but i don't; i can contribute on some parts though)!

IK plugins can be difficult to make NKS for because they have bugs and other issues that you need to be aware of. There is no simple tool and even preset magician with VST2 is very limited in what it can do, unlikely anyone would update it, there is a reason the original dev dropped it.
KK does not support AU plugins, it can be loaded as an AU plugin within a DAW but can only host VST3 plugins so you need to use the VST3 version of a plugin.
Mixbox is a modular plugin which will be VERY time consuming to setup as separate presets in KK because you will have to load every preset by hand, right click and map every parameter for learning (and hope a bug doesn't cause this to get messed up like it does in Sampletank) then save the preset. THis is really pointless with effects plugins in KK because you cannot add ANY automation to effects plugins loaded within KK from a DAW and it adds extra overhead in a DAW when loaded within the KK container, just far better to use effects outside KK unless you have very specific needs.

ah ok… thanks for your in depth answer! Mixbox has some awesome preset fx chains which i would love to browse through quickly. I actually run maschine and the parameters come up great now so i can save then as maschine presets i guess .. that will work for au plugins such as strike as well.

Yes, I have made NKS presets for AU plugins by using Kushview Element. I have not gotten into anything with knob layouts for that though.

so wrapping the au in element as a vst container?

You can save AUs as a sort of NKS in Maschine on Mac, they won’t load in Komplete Kontrol of course

Thank you for everyones advice .. i cant use strike etc in nks presets ( and will do them as maschine preets) but if i make some nks for mixbox ill share them here

No .. thanks that helps a lot.. ive read the start of this thread and others and im unsure if there is a central repository for tutorials such as where you linked to.. i just browse through and click random drop box links to get packs people have made .. am i missing something else?

No. Element is a VST plugin that is a plugin host that can host AU. It works perfectly for some plugins and I can save a whole bank of presets. Again, have not even tried to do anything with a layout for the knobs.

As far as I know, there is no other complete tutorial to make NKS libs.
Mine is for window users, I hope someone can do the job for mac users too.

I did write a briefer tutorial in the NKS user library that covers all platforms - not as in depth as Mercury's but I don't use or understand the GULP stuff anyway so could not really translate that into a guide for Mac
