Reset Kontrol Software

Apologies for the newbie question, but the manual and a search did not reveal the answer. This seems incredibly basic, but I cannot find how to reset the Komplete Kontrol software to its initial state at launch (ie: no instrument/preset). All I want to do is start over without having to quit and reload the app. How do you unload an instrument? (Macos Sonoma, KK 3.03).

    Hi Mike , You have misunderstood the user so your answer have no relation to the question..

    @xylemflo , yes , I would like to know that too !

    I also find it both strange and annoying that there are no apparent way of removing the loaded instrument of soundbank other than switching by loading another. There surely ought to be a button that just cleared interface from anything loaded !

    Ah ok, yeah I misunderstood the question. D'oh!!

    Out of interest, why is unloading an instrument useful?

    To me it is obvious that when you use KK in stand-alone mode to play around, browse and try out sounds then you *all the time* are looking for an easy way to clear interface and start over by trying another sound setup, at least I am and surely sounds to me as xylemflo is also !

    Ok ... Personally if I'm browsing sounds it doesn't matter if there's a instrument already loaded if I'm just going to load a new one, but everyone's workflow is different I guess, hence the question.

    Thanks Poorfellow, you are correct. I was hoping that I just overlooked an obvious (or a hidden) button/process in the software. If the last instrument is still loaded, then regardless of how I browse or audition on screen, the keyboard is still playing the loaded instrument. It also seems strange IMHO that you can delete anything in the chain except the instrument itself. Lastly, the software loads without an instrument, so why not allow a one click reset?
