Where do I place 3rd party plugin .NKSFX preset files in Windows? RX950
Any help is appreciated. I recently picked up Inphonik's RX950 and am trying to install it on Windows 10 to integrate into Maschine. Where do I place the plugin .NKSFX preset files in Windows?

I got it for mac and when I installed it, they were automatically added under the FX section in maschine. If you can't see them, maybe try a re-install or reach out to inphonik support. They normally reply within a day or two.

I ended up talking to support, the person i was talking to had no clue and wasnt familiar with Maschine. Although i did get my plugin up and running, the Maschine doesnt load my 3rd party plugin images. Do you happen to know wherei would install them, in what folder?

This is from freelance soundlab how to for windows:
Place the "image" and "dist_database" folders
in the following location: Windows: C: \Users\ Public\ Public Documents \NI Resources
Folder structure: inphonik folder with an rx950 folder inside
Put the images in the image folder.
Do you have the image files? - If not, I can zip mine and send to you.

i do have the image files. and yes ive placed the above mentioned folders in the NI Resources. do i need to create pthways to both these new folders? or maybe the images are somewhere else like where ive installed the actual plugin...my VST64 folder and because theres 2 of the same images now it's conflicting?

just installed their free plugin “pcm2612 decimator” and it showed up in maschine instantly with plugin images. When installing it should automatically install to the proper vst3 folders . Did you change your install path? I was about to buy rx950 for black friday (half off price) but apparently their send owl transactions page isn’t responding!?!
You can buy their Rx bundle no problem on send owl right now, but the rx950 you can’t buy separately right now 🤷🏻♂️

I bought the RX950 from Plugin Boutique . The install path it gave me autodetected to Steinberg so i changed it to the Maschine VST64 path.

I'm not sure as it added automatically when I installed plugin.
You may need to add the folder to your user library in preferences in Maschine 2.
Why don't you do a complete uninstall (look for all files that were installed and delete) / restart computer then re-install RX950 to see if this fixes it for you.
The NKSFX files are mainly stored in Documents --- Native Instruments --- User Content (folder)

Ya, that’s where the mistake happened. It did the same thing to me trying to install it to a steinberg folder. I let it do this clicked ok, then another install path came up where it asked to install it to a vst3 folder (can’t remember if it was maschine pathway or not) but I clicked ok for both letting it automatically install where it suggests. Showed up in maschine sw instantly with images 👍🏻

Right in the middle of doing a complete install. thx and i appreciate the help. If this doesnt fix it...i dunno lol. One more question...when i install, it wants to give me a default Steinberg path, its obviously thinking this is the default path. What was your original default path when you installed this? and should i change it to install to NIs VST3 path?

Let it install to the default steinberg path. Then it will ask to install to another vst3 pathway. Let it install where it suggests…That worked for me! Don’t change anything lol

KRS1's nose is the most dominant thing in Rap history. LOL. It crushes most new rappers.
Anyways I loaded RX950 in the default, created a path to Steinberg and it recognizes it BUT ONCE AGAAAAIIINN it wont load the presets or images in my Maschine. I'm pissed to say the least. Any idea where your presets or images are located in your file system? Once again, thx for the help. And what your pathway is? Is that same pathway in your library section?

Are you using the maschine + ? If so don’t think third party vst3’s are available yet maybe that’s why the images/presets are not showing up on the device itself? Does it show up in the maschine software??
IDK man I am a noob when it comes to maschine computer nerd-ology. I just make dope raw hip-hop beats…What controller are you using the MK3? MK2? After installing rx950 to the default pathways (using the Maschine MK3) the presets/images show up on the device, and sw!
rx950 is the bomb man! It brings life to everything in maschine especially drums.
