In an earlier discussion (roadmap for M+) someone said that it was possible to backup the sd card, so libraries shouldn’t have to be downloaded after a factory reset. But, this explains why that didn’t work for me, so I guess it’s not simply the user / account name but a unique key pair of some sort.

In the Native Access thread the development team said they were investigating to implement a ‘one-time authorization’ mechanism. Hopefully this can and will be implemented for M+, too. In that case activating the Maschine Plus and its libraries is only done on install, updates and change of owner.

But… that would require and update to the M+, which should be released in Q4… one month to go… still?

Do it! Just do it! Set yourself free from the shackles of Maschine! Please do it, you’ll feel amazing and you won’t be creatively hindered anymore! And we won’t have to read the same post everywhere from you, so we’ll be set free too! Everyone wins!

The following tracks were made largely in Maschine: Vandalaze - Faces in Heat, Cretin Dilettante - Prison, Signal Intrusion, Out of the Miasma, Malfunctioning Machine Waltz, my Plack Blague Remix... the entirety of Thick Haze were tracks I made in Maschine/Ableton that I slowed down or processed/EQ'd w/ a Cassette Deck, Shit2Gold was sequenced entirely in Maschine...I've performed entire sets w/ Maschine, too. Once as a VST within Audiomulch (RIP) where I used it as a drum pad, and once in standalone for a Cretin Dilettante set where I got a band to accompany me. The whole time signature/tempo thing bothered me even then and after two years in the ecosystem, I ended up buying Live 10 for just that purpose. I've been into NI Products since I bought the Maschine Mikro Mk2 back in 2016, have made a lot of stuff with their products, and have just begun to outgrow them.

But if you have outgrown them stop wishing them to be something they’re not, either accept what is or get something that suits your needs. It’s simple.
