Thanks I think if the sub bank issue continues we might have to stop using them which will be a pain

No worries, Kymeia helped with that one. I was looking at the wrong file. As I said, I only have the freebie they released the other week and the Opal Synth for Mac.

I have completed the NKS Oberheim SEM Factory Presets using Kymeia's VST3 template, with tagging for instruments and the fundamental characters. This is for use alongside the current template previously posted by Kymeia (containing graphics and additional files) and can be found in the dropbox shared folder under Diam. Currently no audio previews, but if anybody wants to give that a go would be a bonus. Enjoy.

Given the 100s of instruments with subbanks, and the fact its on the MK3 as an option, I would be amazed, and massively disappointed if they stopped the use of subbanks.

I would certainly be disappointed, but from what I can see sub banks have been used a lot by the user community but not so much by NKS partners so I presume they have been discouraged for some time. If there is no implementation on the Series III controllers then it may be the case that NI are making a decision whether the 'bug' is the fact that sub banks are not showing or that KK3 still has them as an option.

Just a quick note that I have updated the Oberheim SEM Factory presets to include audio previews, courtesy of Mercury. Just uploaded a vastly improved template for the VST3 of Waldorf NAVE. This is the first step towards beginning the mammoth task of converting the factory and artist soundbanks (btw I was involved in the development of this so some of the factory sounds were by me). A very different, and in some ways more powerful, wavetable synth to Largo, based more on the Waldorf Wave, and a very underrated synth, has a totally unique wavetable editor with additive/spectral aspects. The modulation editor is crazy, you can modulate modulation with it (I used it a lot to create semi generative evolving patches)

LA-3A isnt (Wasn't) tube based as LA-2A is and LA-3A has faster attack and release , so better for larger transients .... good on guitars and synths ....

OK the Nave VST3 Banks are now uploaded with tagging and previews. Nearly a thousand patches saved and tagged by hand. In the NKS User Library/Current/Waldorf folder
I was reminded of some of the fantastic sound design that really shows off the uniqueness of this synth - it is great for Vox sounds and complex evolving patches (due to the extensive modulation features) - check out the brilliant deep house sounds in Mike Huckaby's bank (RIP Mike) - even though it's not a genre I am hugely into this is a masterclass in sound design
Note these are made with the VST3 only - the VST already has NKS but they don't migrate. Unfortunately the GUI is resizable but there is no way to set a default size so they always startup small which is annoying but once you have set it to a larger size it keeps that for the session you are in, but won't remember for next time
