NKS Development Discussion

A few of us tried mapping this one before and it seems you encounter problems after saving some presets. By all means see how you get on, but as Kymeia said it appears it is a fab filter issue. Let us know how you get on.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Four hours of failing to update via PC and having to learn how to Mac. Cry.

They have just updated SpringAge as well with VST3 and support for migration and Apple Silicon so nearly completed that too

New NKS Libary Releases
All these releases support VST3 (with UVI EGP supporting both VST2/3 and Falcon/Workstation). Detailed tagging has been done and all presets contain a full custom designed and labelled controller map covering pretty much all controls.
Additionally, there should also be compatible artwork files that covers the new MK3 keyboard image with artwork being updated soon for all previous libraries which you will be able to simply download the new artwork files from a GDrive instead of having to download the entire library just for the new artwork file. I do not own an MK3 and currently have no plans to get one until significant improvements happen with KK v3.0 so let me know if it does not display the new artwork.

Did anyone cover D16's Lush-2 yet? Seems completely different from its predecessor.

Heads up - I've done the latest Charlatan 3 Beta - and I used KK3- so it wasn't as quick a process with a few kinks to work out.
I'll upload later tonight.

I use Rename X for file renaming, Affinity suite for graphic design, batch export preview samples straight from machine and convert everything with MediaHuman converter. Also use TextMate for database editing

Yes I use affinity for the graphics too

I would not be at all surprised to see Jester bringing this out soon as he did v1

And now GEM Mod (which was a freebie, maybe still is?)
Very nice Dimension D emu this, maybe the best actually?

Ok I finally finished mapping all of the existing Musio catalog as NKS presets. Every preset from every library split into individual components with detailed tags, images, and previews. This took an absolutely psychotic amount of time. If you are a Musio + Komplete Kontrol user, this is your lucky day. If you download this and get some value out of it, I only ask that you do something nice for someone today.
Note that, in order for the presets to work, you must first download the corresponding instrument within Musio. At this time, this is a pretty annoying process because they don't yet have a 'Download All' feature (although they are supposedly working on it).
Musio is rapidly evolving at the moment. They are constantly adding new features + content. I plan to publish updates when I can to eventually cover all of the Musio 1 content once it's all live. Also, if they ever add support for VST3ParameterInfo, I plan on mapping the knobs for the existing presets. At this point it's not possible - you have to just use standard MIDI mapping or make adjustments with a mouse.

I don't have these but thanks for sharing them all the same :)

Musio 1 at $299 (until the end of the year - then $399) is hands-down the best value composer/cinematic library package on the market at the moment imo. You get all of the CineSamples stuff (just with fewer mic positions, etc.) at a massive discount. And now with these NKS presets, you're not even sacrificing that much vs the Kontakt versions. Also, Musio itself is constantly getting better. Definitely worth checking out if you're into making that kind of music.
