NI controller w/ other audio interface

I have an S4 mk3 just got, sorting out bugs or possibly a bad unit. . Audio drops out from S4 but everything else works and Traktor plays normal, master meter on software shows but s4 disappears.

Anywho….. In Traktor I can set audio to my built in laptop audio and still use controller just fine.

got me thinking…. With a usb audio interface … any dj geared ones out there that would have a main and monitor mix knob so you could cue like a normal mixer?

You just need audiointerface that has two stereo outputs.

Cueing and so should be possible to controll from S4.

I mean, not exactly. . But could get by.

you wouldn’t be able to hear a cue/master mix in headphones

i always have a hard time trying to mix with phones on que and main mix from speakers

I haven't tried, but I think Traktor mixes master and cue and sends it to second stereo channel of audio interface.... Of course, if you select internal mixing, I guess.

I may try it tomorrow with RME audio interface. Not at all DJ one,

That would be great to find out…. Thanks! I’m in love with the controller and would go that route if needed to get a stable rig
