How to Stop playing a Sound ??? On Maschine plus

Hi,

When you load a Sample for Exemple from your external Drive on Pad 1 an Pusch the Pad than the Maschine plus plays this Sample . But If this Sample ist two Minutes Long !!!

How do you Stop the Sound playing in the Sampler, playing on the Pad...

On the Akai Mpc Key 61 you can hold Shift and Pusch Stop !!!

Shift + mute/choke will stop all* sounds (and also sends "panic" stop to midi devices)

* not sure if it's actually all. If you had a reaktor patch using it's own sequencer or something not 'normal'; then it's probably going to ignore it - but shift+mute is what you're looking for.

just set the sampler from one shot mode to adsr mode, and set it to your liking.

Respectfully, as a newbie who has spent hours trying to get this thing to work, that doesn't really help. I know you are trying to be helpful but you don't know what we don't know - and how extremely poor the documentation is. I have had some nasty little bit of 80's acid playing for twenty minutes and there's nothing I can press gets rid of it so I have to quit Maschine and restart it and then if I press the wrong pad again (and there's no warnings which pad will do it) I am stuck in permanently-loop. It's very annoying.

Well, I'm guessing it did help Felix who was the person I was replying to, since he set my answer as a solution. If you're confused just ask questions.

Usually @darkwaves answer of pressing Shift+Mute should work for the scenario you're describing but it depends on what you have loaded on the Pad, is it a sampler? Some sort of instrument? Share mode details and surely someone will be able to help you. Maybe a screenshot if you're not familiar with the terminology.

IDK how good the documentation is tbh, as I've never read it but people usually say good things about the manual except for some mistakes here and there.
