Is there a way to batch change all the sample starts in an instrument to half?

I need to do this as a preset of an instrument. While keeping other presets with their factory sample settings.

Sure thing! Yes, it can be done. This little GIF demonstrates how to set the same starting and looping points for several samples all at once.

    Excellent thanks.

I tried that route before but I had "Selected Groups only" enabled in the mapping editor, and even though I clicked "Edit all groups", only one group was selected.

By disabling "Selected Groups only" as in your GIF, I could use CTRL+A to select all groups.

Thanks a bunch that did the trick!

Would you confirm that modifying the sample settings such as sample start/end & loop settings require saving the whole instrument (or a copy of it) and the Snapshot feature can not be used instead ?

@sefnnn yes, you need to either use CT + LUA or in Kontakt 7+, the Kontakt API which is also LUA + vs code.
It is really easy after you understand how to set it up and use it, just a few lines of code and you can scan / adjust the whole instrument.

Once you adjust the loop or start points of the samples, saving the instrument is necessary, even if you choose to set those points via Lua or Kontakt’s editor pool. Snapshots don’t store that kind of information. If you have thousands of samples, Lua is preferable.
