Audio Performance Problem

Question

Hi, I have problems with my S4 MK3 and my Laptop.

In the performance test, my latency is almost always below 1000, but every now and then I experience a spike of 4000–6000 for no apparent reason. I have already set the process buffer to 1024 and the USB buffer to 4ms. Despite this, I still encounter the error shown in the image—sometimes every 30 seconds, sometimes every 5 minutes. Which setting should I adjust to ensure the program runs consistently? About one out of every ten times I use it, Traktor crashes after 6–8 hours of operation; the music slows down drastically, and the only solution is to restart the software. Additionally, I occasionally experience brief audio dropouts.

Yes correct then latency mon is the correct app, as on the native instruments article used. Good catch @PoorFellow

There is also LatencyMon.

As i always do, i particularly advise to check energy settings on USB hubs. They often have a switch for automatic energy savings, which should always be deactivated if your controllers, audio interfaces or audio file drives are connected to it.

Great tip , but which "DPC latency checker" are you referring to ?

Thesycon’s DPC Latency Checker that lists as version 1.4  is no longer available from maker though you can get it here and on the waybackmachine

Then there is something listed as Wagnard DPC Latency Checker (DPC) 1.0.0.7 at Major Geeks , which you can also find here .
