I am requesting a feature that would split up individual stems and make them into remix packs to be added to decks. this would allow for more creativity and clip launching and creating new tracks on the fly
Yes, that would be cool! However, I’m afraid it’s not possible due to copyright reasons. This limitation isn’t something inherent to Traktor itself, but rather has to do with licenses or similar issues.
That said, you can use a workaround by utilizing Traktor’s Loop Recorder—that’s what I do. Another option, which is now possible, is to go through Maschine; you can create Stems there and then simply drag and drop loops directly into Traktor Track Decks and Remix Decks.
I'm joining this request; I made it myself quite some time ago, and it went unnoticed.
Stems have been out since TP2. This feature was requested a milion times by then. Owner explained it well.
What would be more useful is if they would fix all the Remix Deck bugs or make Remix Decks open source it so AI can help with furter development of the Remix Deck.
2.5, to be exact. I also tried using the Loop Recorder, but when performing live, I don't find it very user-friendly. A list of functions in the Control Manager would be the most convenient and practical solution. Copyright is another issue, but at this point, the fact that it's a limitation makes me laugh—Ableton Live, for example, makes it easy to produce music.
Yes, bug fixes would definitely be my top priority, followed by the feature request for individual stem tracks, and then further developments.
It was also quite odd that, after the modular updates for the Z1 and X1, they didn’t follow up with an update for the F1.
Perhaps @MattC_NI is still wondering whether there are people out there in the forum who are enthusiastic enough to push for feature requests to be added to the future roadmap 🙄
Yes, the F1 update should be coming soon—with sensitive pads, of course. But I don't think it will be anytime soon, if it ever comes at all.
Matt hasn't been on-forum for three weeks now; i have my doubts he read my post. 😶
Maybe Behringer will have a swing on that hardware (system CMD Mk2 open source). They are changing the game.
Do you mean this? 😊

Ok, this is also a banger! :)
But I think Steve was reffering to the CMD Line from around 2013. Wich had also a modular approach.

Yes, but the timing was so uncanny! 😁
I like the modular behringer pieces, although i was a bit put-off by the LED colours (personal pref). Don't quite remember the clickiness of the buttons. I had the opportunity to play and map them only once shortly after they came out and i think they where okay.
Dan White put out a piece on the new thing i mentioned: DJTechToolsLink
I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen one in a real-world setting. I did stumble across it again a few years ago, though, while I was looking for alternatives to the F1, but I ended up going with Intech Studio instead.
Personally, I was hoping for full integration of the Xone:K3, but in the meantime djay Pro and Virtual DJ have implemented it and not Traktor…
Damn! They look cool! 😁
Neat design language. Which ones did you get and what do you use them for?
K3 is pretty good as is. As i am a happy mapper so i am not really minding that there is no official Traktor mapping out. Too many other open construction sites NI has to manage (or postpone) to be lamenting… 😋
Yes, I've become quite a fan of it myself. They all have the same firmware, and the editor is pretty cool. Since I'm not that great at mapping myself, it makes things a lot easier.
At first, I thought I'd need it for my "Frankendeck" project. A kind of modular "all-in-one" controller for DVS. Basically, an analog battle mixer, a sound card, two Reloop 7-inch turntables, two MIDI controllers, and DJ Mirror with small screens. All built into a flight case.
But I haven't finished it yet because it opens up so many possibilities, and I was always unsure which components to use in the end, and because I simply didn't want to throw money away unnecessarily.
Meanwhile, I use the Intech PBF4 together with a Intech BU16 underneath it. It's basically the closest thing to an F1, and I've mapped Stems, as well as my Pad Modes and Cue Points. My goal would be to merge something like an X1 and an F1 to save space, because it's sometimes very cramped in the clubs and you don't want to disturb each other too much during changeovers. Less is more :)
