Why does Maschine+ default to Re-pitch when the software defaults to Stretch with Audio Loops

I’ve noticed a difference between Maschine+ standalone and the Maschine software.

On Maschine+ hardware, the Audio Module defaults to Re-pitch, whereas in the desktop software it defaults to Stretch.

Is this intentional, and is there a way to change the default on Maschine+ to Stretch so that it behaves consistently with the software?

I’d prefer Stretch as the default, as Re-pitch can change the sound from what I hear when auditioning loops.
