Is Maschine Plus Fixed?

My Maschine plus is one of these that from time to time has boot loop, so I'm used to not using it live in Standalone mode, because I don't trust it, I just used it in standalone in my house testing things, but I have noticed has been a long time since I got a boot loop, was it fixed in some update?

Someone with that issue can confirm if I should trust it for live usage?

good question!! I’ve never had issues with mine in a live environment except at the beginning, when after approx 2-3 hrs of running it would ”lose stamina” and get laggy.

Not sure I'd yet trust it for live use, but dont recall experiencing a crash for quite some time. Certainly has improved much from its humble beginnings (since late 2021)

What version you have on it, M2 or M3?

Either way, I have a friend who performs on 2 units of M+ live and she’s never had issues performing as far as I know. Google her: Evvolita

I'm on M3, as I wanted the Solid Mix plugins (they are a must-have on M+ standalone IMHO)

yeah me too, I updated to M3 on the M+ on your recommendation and got the solid pack, and you were right it’s dope af!

i'm on M3, I'm more concerned about boot loop, when it won't power on and keeps starting forever, I haven't suffered from crashes or other bugs, that's the only thing that made me start using controller mode for live usage as sometimes I went to the event with the maschine plus and it didn't powered on (after it powered on, it runs without any problems), but I haven't seen a boot loop in a long time, I think around a year, but I haven't used it a lot in standalone to confirm 100% that is fixed.

Thanks for this info! Makes total sense now that I think about it.. I'll try it and report back!

This, if working, then just leaves the last hurdle - how to "fetch" the 4 performance pads ins and outs for each mode on mode change and have them immediately reflect the mode change… but first I'll sort out the mode selector and its LEDs.

I was thinking of setting CUE and ROLL to hotcues and some sort of gate/beatmasher2 rates, as for LOOP, I dont really find all that much use for them in my playing styles, so probably gonna put Stem Deck slot mutes on there instead..
