I recently updated to the latest firmware update and now my Maschine+ refuses to boot into standalone mode. Other users stated that by putting a file called ""system-reset-v2.nut" on the SD would fix the issue, but this did nothing. So I contacted support and they are saying that it is a hardware issue, but I don't understand how it that could be because prior to the firmware update, my Maschine worked just fine and I always took good care of it. I never stored it in any unsafe conditions, never dropped it, never spilled any liquid on it, etc. I tried asking if I could downgrade my firmware but they provided no helpful information. Now they are telling me that I need to pay to get it repaired and they won't repair it for free because it was purchased secondhand and not from an authorized Native instruments retailer. Clearly this is a massive failure on Native Instuments part because my Maschine+ was working just fine prior to the firmware update, and their update ruined my Maschine. I thought these updates are supposed to provide fixes, not damage. I don't think I'll ever use Maschine+ again and switch to Akai MPCs if this is how unreliable Native Instruments hardware is. Moreover, their customer service is just awful.
