Step Mode: Apply Probability to all notes when nothing is selected

I have a small workflow improvement suggestion for the new Probability feature in Step Mode.

Currently, when I enter Step Mode and start adjusting Probability without selecting any notes, nothing happens. I first have to manually select all notes (or a few of them) before the parameter has any effect.

My suggestion:

If one or more notes are selected, Probability affects only those notes (current behavior)
If nothing is selected, adjusting Probability automatically applies it to all existing notes in the current pattern for the selected Sound

This would eliminate the unnecessary extra step of selecting all notes every time I want to introduce some randomness across the entire sequence.
