Kontrol S mk3 - firmware 2.0 integration inside Studio One

Hello NI community !

I am hesitant to buy the Kontrol S61 mk3 as Studio One 7 does not support the firmware updates from August 2025 and on. Is there any update on the integration of this firmware from NI or Presonus? (Or Fender, whatever it is now)

Has anybody been able to find a workaround to integrate those features in Studio One?

The keyboard looks fantastic but I’ve been really wanting to see full integration inside of Studio One’s ecosystem before buying.

The main DAW integration already works, firmware 2 is more for instrument and device control but without any ability to customise device mappings in Studio One (as you can do in Bitwig, Live and Cubase) it would be of limited value as many devices, apart from very simple ones, would have lots of params spread over many pages but not organised. Just look at the situation with FL Studio, the integration is there but open something like Harmor and it's impossible to control as mappings are all over the place. That is on IL to sort, not NI. So Fender needs to add something like that first, then it would be worth it.

Also even if it was added it would be to Fender Studio 8, not older versions of that DAW
