Native Access 3.26.0 is here: end of Rosetta support and new warnings for compatibility

Hey everyone, we just released Native Access 3.26.0 and there are a couple of important changes and features.

End of support for Rosetta on MacOs:

We know it's been requested by many Mac users and was a source of concerns with the upcoming MacOs 27 official release later this month. Native Access is now Rosetta free. These discontinued products will fail to install as the result of this: Kontakt 5, Guitar Rig 5, Super 8 R2, Absynth 5. We will share more details, workarounds and articles as soon as possible.

New compatibility installation warnings:

Before installing or updating a product, users now get a warning if an update or installation requires another product to be updated, like for example Kontakt libraries requiring a new version of Kontakt. We know this has been a pain point for many of you, we're really happy to introduce that feature. We will share more explanations on how this works soon.

Woke up and said Apple released their RC candidate yesterday so let me see if NI has updated Native Access. Yes! It installed flawless.. no problems. Seamless would be a better word. Now to figure out why Reaktor is still not installing. ;) Thanks NI

I have the latest Native Access in my Macbook Pro M1 Pro which has MacOS Tahoe 26.5.2. I install the sound libraries in external disk and applications in Macbook.

While installing NI software via Native Access I had installation problems with some apps like Reaktor 6, Creative Tools, FM8… They all failed. No matter what I tried like reinstalling NTK Daemon, Native Access, rebooting Mac… Then I tried to install them without Native Access. While Native Access had downloaded the Reaktor 6 installer, I copied it on my desktop right before the installation fails and removes itself. Then I managed to run installer directly and I noticed that it required to install Rosetta 2. Well, I did install it but instead of continuing the direct Reaktor 6 installation, I cancelled it and tried Reaktor 6 installation via Native Access. And there we go, it finished without any issue. After this all the other earlier failed installations also succeeded via Native Access.

So, to me it seems that some of NI's installers still require Rosetta2 but they are unable to request this via Native Access. After launching Reaktor6 for the first time I also get a new process running as Intel kind: CarbonComponentScannerXPC.

I wish I didn't need to have Rosetta 2 anymore but that doesn't seem to be the case, yet.

Yes, looks like some installers for individual products are incompatible with Golden Gate. Hopefully, NI will update them soon.

It is those installers that were the reason NA2 didn't drop Rosetta until now.

Crazy I have product that I can't install. NI knew about these and never updated them. I tried the pull the install Rosetta 2. Pull installer to desktop and try to install etc etc… Super 8, Absynth 5, Creator Tools and FM8 and REAKTOR 6 still no luck. I even tried NA1 and that won't open either. Did the people behind these product get let go off in this inMusic buy?

So tried it once again… using Pacifist. It installed BUT Native Access still shows it needing to be installed. So I went into Application and clicked on the Reaktor icon. It opened… BUT IN DEMO MODE!! SMFH! Seriously. Also to really make me angry. I sent a ticket to Support and I got a response with nothing in the body of the email but signed "Riff, inMusic."
