I have Maschine MK2 and Maschine Software 1.8.0 and Maschine Software 2.7.2. 1.8 is activated, how do I activate 2.7.2?
If you have a licence for Maschine 2 you should be able to install and activate it using Native Access. You'll need to enable legacy products in Native Access to see it which you do by clicking the "Show legacy versions" button at the top of the library view in Native Access. Once you've done that Maschine will appear in your product list.
Yep @BIF is correct here, none of the users or mods on the forums can help with anything related to accounts/licences etc. Go to the support page here https://support.native-instruments.com/support/home and use the RIFF bot at the bottom left. Be persistent, and if you get nowhere keep telling it you want to escalate to an agent.
Hi, thanks for the info. Does my license for 1.8 not mean my 2.7 is licensed? Or is 2.7 a separate purchase?
The upgrade from 1 to 2 was a paid upgrade as I recall. I don't think you can buy a M2 licence directly from NI anymore unfortunately. What hardware do you have? If you have an M1 licence I'm guessing it's the original Maschine 1 ?
I have a Maschine Mk2, and Maschine 1.8.0 software. I managed to download and install 2.7.2, but it is demo only, and I cannot activate it
I think that you will have to buy a license form Maschine 2 secondhand. In some cases then it has been seen that NI Support has given a complimentary version of Maschine 2 to people if they bought Maschine 3 , but you should not count on it and you would have to get that approved by N.I. Support before buying Maschine 3 software.
.
I do understand. I would be happy to pay for a Maschine 2.7 license, if I was enabled to do so
You probably need to open a ticket to the support team. Most of us here are just customers like you, so telling us the problem probably won't fix this one without help from the support team.
Thanks, everyone. I actually wanted to go straight to support, rather than post a discussion ,but couldn't find a link to open a support ticket. The site is terrible, tbh. I will try and harrass the RIFF Bot.
In defense of Native Instruments, they have tens of thousands of customers. They're not equipped to just have a team of people answering phones in a phone bank somewhere in Berlin, West Podunk, Idaho, or even in the Shire. The labor costs would have run them into insolvency decades ago, because even Hobbits are expensive. Some people say Hobbits are heavy drinkers; always late for the start of their shift. And there's that "Second Breakfast" thing also adding to the cost of labor!
But yes, sometimes customers need the intervention of an actual human, even if it is a Hobbit. Or an Elf! So you have to crack the code of the bot to get to where you need to be.
Wait a minute…"Bot Code Crackers" That could be an EDM band name!
