Pretty cool, this guy is vibe coding a tracker, inspired by Polyend Tracker to work on the Maschine MK3/Maschine Plus hardware:
He also made a Reddit thread here, if anyone's interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/maschine/comments/1w3t8fj/i_designed_a_music_tracker_that_runs_on_the/
Interesting indeed what is possible with AI. I would like to see a fully fledged sequencer like the Toraiz Squid, but with enhanced features. It has a similar form factor and Alpha Theta unfortunately gave up on that sequencer. Having said all that, best of all would be to have an enhanced sequencer running inside the NI software with Elektron style sequencing…
some nice screen integration!
theres a nice Fasttracker 2 plugin by blamstrain on github VST3/AU that works with Maschine at least with Mac silicon(requires some terminal permissions as the plugin is not signed),
doesnt have the hardware screen integration like the above video…
but you can route the channels to external channels or use Aux's, i was testing it just the other day!
syncs up to DAW tempo or maschine tempo, its just another plugin i've integrated in my Reaper template, i had a little trouble loading it as a VST3 directly inside of ReaperFX,
but found that if i ran Maschine as a plugin inside reaper i could put the fastracker plugin inside the maschine plugin no problem, just not inside Reaperfx slots directly
Fast tracker 2 supports mainly supports .mod & .xm files as well(experimental), which is well suited to Maschine, as you can have multiple instances,
also supports multiple formats as samples, its worth checking out, if you are comfortable with terminal commands etc
heres the plugin
