hey there ive just bought a maschine mk1 whilst on holiday from a charity shop stall and didnt receive a receipt either, to then find out theres no way of obtaining the software license from the previous owner, id also bought a laptop downgrade running windows 7 which i heard was perfect for maschine mk1. so what im asking is there any way round this AS I KNOW YOU CANT BUY MK1 SOFTWARE any more would the mk2 software run ok on the if so how much will that set me back thanks in advance. Cheers.
You don't need to use Windows 7 (and shouldn't anyway as it's too old).
The Maschine 2 software (it's not called MK2) still supports the MK1 controller and will run on Windows 11.
If you can't get the software from NI support, then you can try asking in the buy/sell/trade forum.
Windows 7 is no longer supported, please check this page: https://support.native-instruments.com/support/solutions/articles/69000879301-compatibility-of-native-instruments-products-on-windows The Mikro mk1 will not be supported in the Maschine 3 software, you'll need to install the Maschine 2 version, you can probably find it second hand.
