transfering NI programs from a dying Windows 7 computer

Question

I purchased Kontakt 5, the Gentleman, Maverick and Grandeur from NI several years ago. They were loaded on a Windows 7 computer whose motherboard is dying. Can I move those programs to a new Windows 11 computer? If so, how? I haven't been able to use any of it for a while as we were in the process of selling our house and moving across country, plus it's taken a few months to get set up here. But if memory serves (and it may well not), the software should be on a hard drive separate from the OS. If that is in fact the case, would I be able to simply relocate the SSD with the software to a new W11 device? I doubt it, but I had to ask.

You need to install the latest version of Native Access. That will allow you to download and install the software libraries onto your new PC. You can download it from here -

It's possible to use the downloaded libraries if you have them on an SSD. In Native Access you can click 'Support' then 'Add Content' which lets you link the libraries on the SSD correctly

You might find Kontakt 5 isn't available. You can try clicking the "show legacy versions" button that may show it on a PC. You can always download Kontakt 8 player which will work with the libraries you mentioned.
