My club is starting the new season on September 12th. I am one of the residents. In the meantime, two CDJ-3000Xs have been acquired. Can I get them connected reliably by then? Please!
No, sadly not. At least no official way.
I would suggest to just use use a Rekordbox USB stick/
There are multiple programs that can convert your Traktor library to Rekordbox:
Lexicon does not get your cue points correct when it transfers.
Mixo DJ - I have not used.
DJCU - works however I would only do selected playlists as I have had it crash with larger track counts.
Or do what I have done, export a playlist of all of the tracks you have played from your library once or more (make a smart playlist), import this into Rekordbox, then redo your beatgrids and cue points manually and use USB sticks on your regular gigs.
I did this in February, after using Traktor since 2007 and purchasing thousands of dollars of hardware over the years and helping out tremendously in the old forum (macOS USB I/O issues anyone) and beta testing whenever possible … only to be told that changes to the software that broke workflows that I can prove are over 12 years old within the software that were not broken were changed (setting initial down beat with sync on sets it to some fictitious grid instead of where your play head is), not to mention the number of up-voted requests that have still not been implemented … the one that I have banged on about so much is being able to go lower than 1 beat quantize … seriously, it was on the iPad version of Traktor released YEARS ago!
Enough of my rant … I recommend to move on. Pay for DJCU, or the newer v2 … or take the harder road and start again like I have. I will still use Traktor for mobile DJ gigs where I have my entire library on my laptop, however for resident gigs it's much easier to just use Rekordbox exported to USB sticks (it even does quantize in 1/2 and 1/4 on the players).
Sadly I been banging on this for awhile now to no avail, many posts about this.Most of the Clubs and venues I play at now have the 3000x and sadly still no HID for the flagship cdj which in the past NI have always had. For now I just use the old way with a usb with Traktor time code on it or I play with rekordbox or a usb. Playing with time code though does feel like I’m going back 15 years but it is what it is at the moment sadly. Not sure we will see HID mode on the 3000x for some time if at all with the way things are going at NI.

Yes I have done the same, though I used DJCU using rekordbox but it’s no where near Traktor to be honest. Which is crazy as Traktor has had no new significant updates for awhile yet I still find it better then rekordbox in its current state. As I have said as long as it would continue having the HID mode for flagship club gear I would still use it over other software.RB still feels sluggish and looping on Traktor still way ahead of RB.

ni has had the SDK for quite some time now, and none of the physical control values are different from the 3000 to 3000x. I wouldn’t expect it anytime soon.
The Hotcues/memory cue placement bug in lexicon was fixed a couple years ago.
It's also a no brainer with Mixo and works very well. If I prefer to use my entire collection and have all my playlists readily available, I import my Traktor library into dayPro. This takes a maximum of 10 seconds. It costs me 50 euros a year, but I can use it on almost any equipment. That is, if I ever get stuck with Traktor.
BTW: @frankle The method you're suggesting for getting started with RekordBox seems more than just cumbersome and time-consuming. There are other, already mentioned, ways to reach this goal faster. But of course, everyone is free to do it however they want.
