i would like to use the NI sounds on my Modx M7 for live gigs. I don’t use a DAW.
Is this possible? I bought the complete bundle and hope that this was not a waste of money.
you can browse the NI content and any other supported plugins and sounds from the NI keyboard yes. You can create favourite sounds to switch between and you then have access to control the functions of each instrument from the keyboards controls. You do not actually need an NI keyboard tho, you can access sounds easily from the PC and even switch sounds using any MIDI keyboard by mapping some MIDI buttons.
It comes down to what you actually need for your live performance. Obviously adding a laptop will make setup a little more complex, creates potential for more things to go wrong and increases your overall cost and gear to cart around but if there are sounds you really need that you cannot get in the native format of your current keyboard then it may be ideal to setup a "hybrid" solution. My personal suggestion if you wanted to go that rout would be to first look into a laptop and see what you can get away with using your current keyboard. One big benefit with the keyboard you have is it is completely standalone and does not need a laptop so in the event you have an issue with the laptop side at least you have the keyboard to fall back on. Another point to consider is if you do use a laptop and your keyboard both as audio sources, you will need a way to connect the laptop audio to the AP system so you do need multiple outputs. Would be best to research things and take notes on what you can achieve and what you may require.

On your Modx M7 like importing sounds like wave or something then I am not sure if that is doable. Other than of course you can sample sounds playing as you can with any other sounds..
But you can use NKS compatible N.I. products in Komplete Kontrol standalone app which you can use by Midi and same goes for Kontakt that you can also use by Midi
If you need to or want to then you can also use a VST host such as Gig Performer that says to Seamlessly Integrate Hardware - Mix hardware synths and plugins any way you want

the Modx M7 does import wave files. How do I export files from NI without DAW or Maschine?
You may have wasted your money if this was your main goal.
Ideally you would have known what formats your keyboard supports if you planned to use it standalone then confirmed the software you are purchasing would work with it since there is zero mention on the NI product pages that your Yamaha keyboard is at all supported.
None of the plugins (designed as VST?AU plugins for a computer) allow you to simply export the sounds as WAV as some plugins are synths and some use multi-sample gigabyte sized libraries. To do that you would need to load them into a DAW then export single note samples which would become laborious and complex to bother to do, IMHO. The other option if you have a suitable laptop, a macbook would be the simplest and most stable to use would be to use a laptop connected to the keyboard just for the sounds you need from the Komplete collection and you could switch between onboard sounds and MIDI triggered sounds.

if I would buy a native instruments kontrol keyboard as well, could I use all the sounds then directly?
A setup with two keyboards
The NI keyboards are only 'Midi controllers' albeit advanced Midi controllers , meaning the keyboards does not make any sounds themselves but rather transmits data that controls software that make sounds via a computer that is running the software. But if you buy a S-Series MK3 keyboard then it will allow keyboard control of software on PC via Apps Komplete Kontrol and Kontakt 8
You'll still need a laptop to run the NI software, so apart from getting better integration with the software you don't gain that much. Apart from two keyboards always looking cooler than one keyboard of course!
Having said that, bands do use the NI keyboards + computer for live performance so might be something worth looking at.
so if I get a s-series mk3 Keyboard and use it with a laptop I can choose NI Sounds on the keyboard display. Is this right?
It's not touch display , but yes , if you have Komplete Kontrol app running on the computer (or Kontakt 8)(Kontakt content only) then yes , you should be able to browse and select sounds via the keyboard.

You can buy the NI keyboard here , or if you live in Europe and prefer to buy from a third-party seller then you can most likely even save a little money doing that.
I actually have my laptop on stage most of the time anyway. I need it for the PA control. The audio of the laptop can be connected to the PA easily. the question is, would I be able to use sounds from NI and from the Modx at the same time? Can I mix them with only one keyboard?

If ModX has audio inputs then sure (I just checked the specs and it does). Or use USB I/O from computer to ModX. Otherwise, you would need a small mixer.
If you're looking for a small keyboard mixer the Radial Key Largo is pretty good. Three keyboard inputs, USB input (from your laptop), isolated outs to the PA and additional monitor outs for your own speakers and built like a tank.
