ABSYNTH is stuck on my home page

Hello,

I'm having a small issue with ABSYNTH. When I load it as a standalone instrument, the window freezes, and I can't move it to my other monitor or close it using the top bar—which isn't accessible—only via the icon on the taskbar.

Otherwise, there are no issues in Cubase 15 or FL Studio.

Can you change the view size and does that have any effect ? Do you get popups if you click the NI logo or the Absynth name ?

Remember to check both monitors.

You can also try to change resolution on both primary and secondary monitor to see if there are any pop ups to click that are hidden.

Windows is a bit strange when it comes to dual monitor setups sometimes it can get the idea that something is on the other monitor than what you think so. If the Absynth app otherwise functions but is just stuck in it's position then I would not rule out that this could be a problem related to Windows multi monitor use.

In this case then , once you gave the final information needed (that the app still worked while stuck in place) then that opened for my Windows peculiarity experience to kick in and make a better 'guess' 🙂

Have you tried running the standalone as an Admin ?

Have you tried turning off AV prior to running the Ap ?

You can also try adding Absynth 6 to allowed in firewall.

Also update graphics drivers (what exactly is your graphics card ?)

Do you have N.A. installed (as you should) ?

Else then try uninstalling Absynth 6 and then reboot computer and then reinstall latest Absynth version .

Hello PoorFellow , and thank you for your message.

I followed your advice and carried out the steps, but nothing worked.

At least now I know how to allow a program through Windows antivirus and firewall.

AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics (496 MB) is up to date, as is the processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon Graphics (1.80 GHz).

I uninstalled it and then restarted the computer.

Apart from that, Native Access crashes a bit at startup, but everything returns to normal after a minute.

Nothing seems to help.

I’ll wait for the next update and see what happens.

It could also possibly be an audio driver problem and you used an older version of Absynth then this might have helped but since that hopefully should have been fixed in the newer Absynth version then it will most likely not help , but checking audio drivers available as mentioned is worth at least checking.

This is the latest version (I assume it comes with Komplete 26).

Also, I don't have any problems like this with any of the other synths: Massive, FM8, SynthMaster 3, Kontakt 8, Analog Lab, Pigments... It's the only one that stays in place—I can't move it—but other than that, it works (sorry, I should have mentioned that).

Thank you , yes , that was important to know and completely changes possible causes.

I think that you should ask N.I. Support and include information about your CPU and onboard graphics in case that should have any bearing (or not).

Hello, and thank you for your helpful advice, which helped me identify the problem.

It was a screen scaling issue—even though the scaling recommended by Windows was too high for Absynth positioning. I reduced it, and now I can move and close the window directly.
