Trouble with Komplete Upgrade Voucher

I received an email which says, among other things

"To celebrate 30 years of Native Instruments and our partnership with Akai, enjoy an extra 30% off your already discounted Komplete upgrade."

And then has a link for me to add the Komplete upgrade to my cart. However when I try to add the voucher from the email to the cart, I receive the message

"The voucher code 'xxxxxxxx' is not applicable for your current order. Please review the terms and conditions for this voucher."

I assume that this is because I automatically received a "special loyalty price" when putting the Komplete upgrade in the cart, even though the email seems to imply that I will receive both discounts.

It's fine if I only get one of the discounts, but how do I choose the voucher instead of the "special loyalty price?

It's probably best to check with support as to what the problem is. Discounts don't usually apply to discounted products, but it seems odd they'd send you a discount specifically for something discount doesn't apply to!
