I want to warn the community about a website that appears to be selling Kontakt, Komplete, and various Kontakt libraries at unrealistically low prices while claiming that the products can only be authorized through their own service.

The website I'm referring to is: saleonplugins com

This is a major red flag. Legitimate Native Instruments products are activated through official licensing methods, not through third-party authorization services. Extremely low prices combined with these claims strongly suggest that this is a piracy or scam operation.

A friend of mine was actually about to purchase licenses from this site, but fortunately, he asked me beforehand and avoided losing his money.

Please stay vigilant, purchase software only from official stores or authorized dealers, and help spread the word so others don't get caught by scams like this.

Such reports however belongs in a message to the forum Administrators or a message to NI Support. There are more of these sites. NI Legal sometimes takes down a site but usually they pop up again just as fast in one shape or another.

I am not sure if posting links to the site here in the forum is the right method so I removed your link , I will leave further scrutiny to NI staff.

No link, but still shows the web address! That one has been around since at least 2020, lots of questions and warnings about it across various forums/reddit.

That's one way of putting it.

The other way is that it's advertising a shady site on the company's own forum, potentially leading customers to get their software on the cheap - then likely coming back here expecting support if/when it goes wrong.

I agree that people informing people is always a good idea and we don't need to be protected and governed constantly by mods and administrators, most of us have the brain power to read a warning and not press the red button but it at least gives the more experienced users a way to check and confirm if what is being claimed is a scam or not.

100% illegal selling of plugins, website has been around since 2018 according to whois and a huge red flag is the fact they claim you have the option for PayPal (which I would only ever use for any website) but it is mysteriously missing at the checkout as an option likely due to the fact PayPal will 100% award a refund for this kind of site. Just selling cracked dodgy software which reading any info should be pretty easily apparent but a sucker is born every minute and they make money from people just giving up on the $50 odd they lost.
